Adrien Silva - Terms Agreed

Well I tip my hat to Babylon. Even though Stringer, Tanner and various ITKs were saying nothing to worry about, he called from the very beginning that our late, short statement indicated that all was not as straight forward as it should be.

Well played sir!

Never a dull moment supporting Leicester is there?

Your just nothing but a hound dog

I heard Silva was delivered to us today by courier... But Rudkin returned to sender!..

Later on Mahrez was spotted crying in the chapel.

Do you even know how transfers work?

In fairness it makes more sense than the people blaming Rudkin and saying he'd had months to sort it out, rather than the reality of a couple of hours after Chelsea finally made a good offer.

So to recap...we've lost a player who wasn't playing, didn't sign a player who we never had, and strengthened our squad in other areas and we're in a relegation scrap.....

And Peter Taylor is our new manager.

It's his job to secure the deals of incoming players based on scouting reports and Shakespeare's recommendations.

It's impossible to argue that he's done anything less than a magnificent job this summer.

Those angry that we've been unable to get the Silva deal sorted might want to have a pop at the man who decided he didn't want to be a Leicester player any more 24 hours before the window shut. Drinkwater might be a legend for his part in the "Inconceivables" but he's been a right royal cockhead and he's ****ed us over massively.

Are we going to use that excuse every time a player decides he wants to leave and we botch the replacement?

I'm not calling for Rudkin's head because there may have been pressure on him to make the decisions he did, in the way he did. Equally the error might have had nothing to do with him or his department. Or, alternatively, he's at the heart of every balls-up we've made since we won the title, including this one, and leaving him in situ is the single dumbest thing our board have ever done. Who knows.

Ultimately, you look to the Chairman when there are questions about the running of the club. And I think that if this deal fell through, we'd be better off trying to answer those questions, than we would be complaining that someone didn't want to play for us anymore. Or, perhaps, blaming Rudkin every time the club screws up.

Latest but Whatever people want to believe:

Sources in Portugal are claiming approval from FIFA has been denied, ensuring Silva will be unable to play for the club until the New Year.

But Leicester insist they are still attempting to resolve the issue and are in dialogue with Sporting and FIFA, in a bid to push through the transfer.

Adrien fitness has been questionable in the last months. He needs to rest. This is a blessing for the player and the club. It's just four months :)

O that's ok then...

Just half a season relying on King and Amartey in CM

.There's f**k all to worry about everyone... Just chill!!!!!!!

I thought the Director of Football was responsible for bringing in and shipping out players?  You cannot possibly blame Drinkwater for this farce, if these reports are true.   I think it would be easy to argue that this screw-up almost negates somewhat all the good work done else where, if we find ourselves struggling in the mid-field region over the coming months.

It's honestly incredible how much over reacting is going on.

Maguire has clearly been an inspired signing.

Jakupovic is an improvement on RRZ.

Iheanacho will be a super star in 5 years time.

Iborra has won it all in football, clearly a brilliant signing for the price.

Dragovic has been on our radar for ages and will be a very good bit part player for us.

What did you expect? That we'd be signing  Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar?

So you must be really impressed, watching rudkins team in action, with some Muppet at the training ground, wafting pieces of paper, jumping into a poor man's Chelsea tractor, with no care, no seatbelt, rushing to some internet cafe to fax some papers for this to happen.

Where is the planning, leadership and foresigh

What has ibbora won?  If he is so good, why did Seville sell him for peanuts?  I tell you why, cus they got a better replacement.

So we're all wetting our pants over bit part players and 3rd choice keepers.... behave.

I can imagine Rudkins leadership and fook up with these signings in the amatuer handling of paperwork with FIFA, has pissed FIFA off and hence lost patience and made a example of us.

I once did not register a new signing in football manager he was ineligible for leauge games but could play in the cups, is there a chance this is similar?

I am sure someone can confirm this Jon.

Yes in Football Manager 2018

If two from Huth, Morgan and Dragovic prove PL-worthy, is there a chance that we could see Maguire in the DCM role before long?

Someone mentioned this the other day on here, drawing comparisons to Dier. For my part, it just reminded me of Sol Bamba, which wasn't quite so good. But you never know. If it worked, it could really work.
