Rudkin may be in the wrong job, but he shouldn't be under-estimated in what he's done for the club over the years.

Yep - Molle Wague you ungrateful lot.

Frigging hell -  Q -  200 pages on Rudkin unless Vichai acts quickly.

It's not magnificent considering the position we were in though is it? It's pretty poor considering the money we had to spend and the base we had to build from.

We've lost our first choice central midfield in the space of a year and we look really weak in that area now. So no, we won't be 'fine' until January. we'll be wasting months being worse than we should be.

And we don't even know if Silva will be massively effective yet.

What do you mean "considering the position we're in"? We're 3 games in and we've been away to The Emirates and Old Trafford. We're on par with the 3 points we've got and we've spent the going rate to be here.

We don't look really weak. We've made Arsenal and Man United sweat. Matty James kept Drinkwater out of the side in the Great Escape season and we've all seen just how brilliant Wilf Ndidi is. Not to mention we've signed a man who won 3 Europa League titles in 3 years in Vicente Iborra. "Really weak" is one of FoxesTalk's greatest over reactions. Look through the midfields of every other side in the league. Barring Everton and the traditional top 6, ours is superior.

What are your expectations for the season? Judging by this pathetic over reaction i'm guessing you think we should be winning the league again?

Isn't Dean Hammond without a club?.....

Assuming this turns out to be as bad as it seems, I would maintain that someone has shown extreme naivety in not pulling the plug on the two deals due to time constraints- it takes a brave person to do that, someone with experience - appears we were lacking on both

I know for a fact we're not the only club in this position so it does happen.

Could we release adrien on a free and then sign him up?

Has to be a free agent before the end of the transfer window.

Such a simplistic point of view, like tactics and others issues play no part in it.

CM is currently weaker, but the other positions are not.

Yes and no. Some players are getting older - Fuchs, at 31, might be half a yard off his pace of two years back. Vardy relied on insane pace, and he'll be turning 31 this year. Simpson, I believe, is roughly the same age. Then there's Morgan, Huth, Ulloa. I'm not sure that they're what they once were. So whether our additions to the side are keeping up with the degeneration of our existing players, plus departures, remains to be seen.

Plus, as you mentioned, other factors determine how good a side we are. There's the mood in the camp. I remember Schmeichel's tweet on Thursday, reminding us that we were losing a very good player. If we were to botch the replacement I could imagine some players beginning to wonder where we were headed. So much of our success was a result of self-belief and collective purpose. And togetherness. Mahrez wanting out, Drinkwater leaving and Gray hardly rousing us with his commitment to the cause - it will all have its impact on the group mentality.

So you're not happy with the Iheanacho, Maguire, Iborra, Dragovic and Jakupovic signings?

For me, we've actually outdone ourselves in this window...

Oh, Jon has certainly outdone himself on this one.

BTW - it's his effin job to get those players.
