433, you don't need a CAM.   We have James holding, and Ndidi box to box and Kingy.... doing his thing.  Riyad and Gray can go up against the wide CBs and our full backs can focus on the wide players for Chelsea with some help from the CM.  Makes sense

Don't need one no, but you can play with one. just allow the central player to free roam forward.

Where does it say in the rules that a drop ball can't be contested?

That was a bit weird - Mason seemed to tell Vardy not to contest it

It ain't a real 4-3-3 with King. We switched effectively to a 4-5-1. I agree that we needed a third midfielder on the pitch but with King as option, I'd rather have had Nacho instead of Gray.

That's what Kingy and Ndidi (to a lesser extent are doing).

Come on, how epic would a second City goal be?

Better be in the 97th minute!

From a Fifa rules page online (http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/afdeveloping/refereeing/law_8_the_start_and_restart_of_play_en_47396.pdf)

Dropped Ball

"Any player may challenge for the ball, including the goalkeeper.

There is no minimum or maximum number of players required to take part in a dropped ball.

The referee cannot decide who may or may not take part in a dropped ball".

Never knew that; how epic would a 6 man drop ball be?

Mahrez and Gray are what make it 433, not King.  King is always in midfield regardless of 433 or 451.  Nacho instead of Gray would have made our team all wonky.  Unless you mean Nacho for Slim was the only sub to keep the 442/4411?

Yes but it leaves us one dimentional and vulnerable in midfield.

Not if there is always one holding and the the rotation work.  Effective 433 is about stretching their back line.

Moot point now as we are back to 442!
