The whole issue regarding sportspeople competing "for their countries" while their countries are at war is much more complex and much less simplistic than folks like Lucy Frazer point out.

 

Additionally, Wimbledon having Russian or Belarussian tennis players "sign declarations of neutrality and do not express support for the war" but not having, say, Andy Roddick do the same in 2003, is hypocritical in the extreme.

Banning Russian athletes from sporting competitions is a terrible idea and very discriminatory. Imagine banning American athletes for the numerous war crimes their government has committed.

Quite right, they should be banned for cheating.

Absolutely, as long as it is proven that the Russian state sponsored doping program helped them.

 

But they shouldn't be banned simply because of where they are from, as Ms. Frazer advocates.

“Everyone hates Leeds” is something that’s cropped up in the other place a few times yesterday.

 

Nope.

 

I hate Arsenal for that photo. I hate Chelsea for that billionaire. I hate spurs because they think they’re Man City. I hate Man City for being Man City. Likewise, Man Utd. And I’m now teaching myself to hate Newcastle because of they’re a murdering loving Geordie bore.

 

I’d take an army of Leeds and Millwall over them any day of the week. Hell, I’d even say the league is better for having Leeds in it.

I only hate Leeds because of that Robbie Fowler hattrick, which is weird because he scored if for Liverpool, but then he went to Leeds.   Pisses me right off even thinking about it.  Hopefully I am imagining it entirely and it never happened.  willy pullers.  Yes I agree though, good to have them in the league, although for the life of me I don't know why everyone rated Bielsa so highly.

Yep, Leeds and Millwall fans delight in others supposedly hating them, and look for any evidence of it. Personally I quite like the way Leeds play football and so do many others I come across, no opinion on Milwall.

 

There's enough support on this forum with posters yanking themselves off in wanting us to be more like Leeds fans, they're certainly not hated here.

I get the challenges she faces but that doesn't make her a top comedian, unless it's out of sympathy.

I very roughly chop it and it's far quicker than tearing it all.  Maybe I have weak hands.  

 

Apparently chopping is bad, something to do with the enzymes in basil.  

 

I would never finely chop Basil.  Even I am not that wicked.

Watched it. Nasty, not funny. Shows him for what he is. Nasty. Being a cynic can be amusing but being plain nasty isn't comedy.

 

I went to one of his "shows" a few years ago. I walked out after his atrocious "comedic" references to people with disabilities.

 

He's not a comedian. He's a bag of vile.
