I think Chilwell has done very well and it's great that he seems ready for a starting spot.

I still think Fuchs is ahead of him, but not by much now. I would be happy to see the two rotate a little. Will keep an older Fuchs fresher and the give the younger Chilwell some more valuable game time.

I'd expect it to be about 70-30 in favour of Fuchs this season and then perhaps switch to 70-30 in favour of Chilwell for the 18/19 season.

Great to have two decent options at LB. Just need the same for RB now. Still mystified why we haven't signed a genuine RB for a few seasons now.

Chilwell has impressed me lately. Thought he dealt with Salah pretty well on Saturday. Surely got to be one of the best sub lb's in the league!

Prefer Fuchs but do worry about him against genuine pace.

The idea was Fuchs would be the number one while Chilwell would learn from him and get experience playing in certain games and in a few years take over when Fuchs goes off to America! The question is, is Chilwell learning enough and putting what he sees and is told by Fuchs and the manager into practice! Is he developing his skills and his game at a reasonable pace and is he learning and crafting his skills enough to be considered the number one when Fuchs does leave!

Chillwell's throw is pretty good too. I thought perhaps Fuchs had been giving him some lessons. Fuchs did once say that it was technique, not strength, so perhaps he is able to pass it on.

I like them both. For me, Fuchs is a better and more consistent all round player, as you would expect given his age and experience, but I think Chilwell has had some decent games against some quality players recently.

I think Fuchs main vulnerability is to pace, so I could see Chilly gettin the nod where that is a big concern for Shakey (given that we do need to give Chilly enough time to bring him on).

I'm very happy with our options at LB currently, even though Chilly isn't quite there yet, defensively. He is only going to get better in that department, and he needs to, if he is going to be a quality PL LB.

I honestly thing Chilwell could do a job as a left winger - his greatest attribute is his pace when he's bombing forward - very quick over 25 yards.

Fuchs is way better technically with the ball at his feet so probably better suited to playing next to Maguire than Chilwell at the moment.

However, this is probably a good season to give Chilwell game time.

Also goes back to relationships on the field. At this moment in time, the relationships on the field aren't quite there. Key players have left and we are playing like a bunch of strangers at times.

Not sure it has to be an either/or situation.Remember the Atletico home game when Chilwell came on for the second half overlapping with Fuchs with a back three.Looked good as I remember but we seem stuck with 4 4 2 these days.Rate both players need Chilwell's energy and wing play and Fuch's ability to keep crosses out whilst able to deliver good set pieces and long throws.

Yes, I remember how we dominated and how Chilwell's end product was non-existent. For all Chilwell's pace and ability to carry the ball, he lacks the technique for a consistently good ball/cross and as mentioned umpteen times before, his defensive actions are still highly suspect.

Technique improves in training, not in games, but the defensive side will improve with more game time. His characteristics are not too dissimilar to Schlupp, who really only ever worked efficiently as a wingback.

Wouldnt make it as a winger at the top level no way.

Not a good enough crosser of the ball from what I've seen, to become a genuine Premier League winger.

Think LB will be his strongest position and has performed well in the last couple of games. He has great quality on the ball for a defender and once he cuts out the odd silly error or two, I can see him becoming our starting LB for next season and beyond.

I don't think there's a conundrum of Fuchs or Chilwell! Fuchs should be left back and Chilwell left midfield!

Prefer Albrighton or Gray there. Chilwell can't cross for toffee

I've been both surprised and impresses with chilwell recently. I trend to think he's a bit suspect defensively but he did well v liverpool.

Fuchs is brilliant and definately ahead though. I'll go on record as saying that this club has never, and will never, have a better left back.

Some of chilwells dribbles are ridiculous! Remember him running athletico Madrid raged. Yet he's only playing when Fuchs is injured. He should be playing left wing while Fuchs is still here. I'd be radicle on the right side and play albrighton right back and gray right midfield. But that really is asking for too much
