We had our chance in the summer when we could have got benitez or silva quite comfortably. If Pearson does come back i will be posting my season ticket to the club, partly because i dont like him and because he is not a premier league manager but mainly because it shows what a fiasco are club is right now.

What are you on about? Nobody wanted to touch us with a barge pole after sacking Ranners. Everyone knows that the players had a part in it and that coming here means a full rebuild.

Either of those two would have come, Newcastle makes our club look like the sylvanian families of football clubs and Watford are just as bad for trigger happy firing and hiring. We had/have far bigger financial clout.

We had/have far bigger financial clout. Show me the solid links where we were knocking on the door of these or managers of their calibre so. All the speculation over the summer was just that. Whilst we may have money that some other clubs do not have, we also have internal issues which are quite evident to prospective managers. Says a lot that Rafa given his circumstances didn't leave Newcastle for us doesn't it. It goes both ways, are you just assuming we didn't ask him? Lols. I suspect we asked a LOT of prospects over the summer and all said, get in the bin, thanks.
