Which manager could we attract?

Who would you like to see here should Shakey go? it's clear many people want him gone now.

For me, if the owners pull the trigger, we should go in for someone like Rodgers, won't be easy to get him due to champs league and guaranteed silverware, but the Prem and a fairly large warchest is surely enough to get someone to leave the SPL?

We'll spend 2 weeks trying desperately to get Hiddink again, before moving to someone desperate like Moyes or Pardew.

What decent manager would want it, after seeing the state of the performances, the state of our recruitment department, and depending when they sack Shakespeare, knowing our owners, they will give him to long, probably have very little time to rectify the many problems.

I know who I'd like, but so many bad decisions since the title win, we'd end up with pardew

Shakespeare’s not gone yet !!

But if and when he does I’d be hoping for Ancelotti or Rafa !!

Benitez would have his critics here but tactically he is exceptional compared to what we've got right now. He's also very close to Macia so at least we might have someone who knows what to do with his recommendations.

Who would choose the manager, the owners or rudkin, opens a new can of worms if it Rudkin.

Rudkin most definitely plays a part in the selection, we need a much bigger clear out than just poor Craig and that squaddie he's got with him.

Benitez I think would be more suitable, think he's not exactly happy at Newcastle not sure their matching his ambition. Provided he had money to spend in January, I think he'd come.

currently I would take anyone.  Shakespeare has to go.  One win in ten in the league says it all.  If we do persist in him we will be relegated this season.  A lot of our players need a kick up the backside Shakespeare is too close to them this all pals act don't wash.  We should have appointed Silva now doing miracles with bloody Watford.

I'm not sure why any manager above us in the table would leave to come here.

None would at any level unless they got a fantastic package with untold money to spend. Thai beer will only appeal to a limited market. Once their sponsors realise LCFC ain't all that good, the money will dry up and they'll turn away.

Got my vote ! :D

Love it if he did but, despite winning the PL title, we currently have little else to attract a "big name".

Rafa Benitez.

Would consider him, yes.

But his family appear settled in Merseyside and he isn't getting any younger.

He seems stable and happy at Newcastle, and can only see him to consider either staying there or go back to Liverpool if Klopp goes (he said recently to the media that he'd consider going back to Anfield in the future).
