Cincinnati Fox Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 Is he back for WBA? Been training for a couple of months now and played for the 21’s at least twice.
Japanfox Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 Strange how there’s been little talk of it in the press.......
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 He's almost there. Same with James, won't be long I think.
Ric Flair Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 Just now, Abrasive fox said: He's almost there. Same with James, won't be long I think. And Dragovic will then be even further away from the squad, pointless signing even though he's evidently class.

Doesn't fit the hoof ball style of the current regime, same as Iborra, waste of time, both good footballers, both confident on the ball, but sadly their strengths are wasted here. We just go with the defend, hoof and hope vardy gets on the end of it style of play

Tuna Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 I get the feeling had Huth been fit for the start of the season, Maguire would have began his Leicester career as an unused substitute.
davieG Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 I'd like to think that if Silva had been available then we would have seen the start of a transition to a more 'advanced' style of football involving Iborra and Silva in midfield with Maguire and Dragovic in defence. I see him as the missing piece in a the jigsaw that's ballsing everything up.

Need to be phasing Wes and Huth out, let's just bite the bullet and go with Drago and Harry.

Won't happen with Shakey in charge. Jobs for the boys. Misguided loyalty. To be fair Big Wes has been ok this season, but we need to look to the future.

Definitely would be the case. The club are so scared of moving from the title-winning team and tactics they don't even see the harm it's causing. Huth will probably come straight back in the side.
st albans fox Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 We have generally been disorganised in defence without Huth. However, I don't see him currently displacing either Morgan or maguire in a two (management decision) so his return is not so important. If we did transition to a three I expect dragovic would be used by shakey. Has dragovic got experience of playing in a three ??

Drago is 7 years Wes' junior, and with the rumoured option to buy at the end of the season we should be making an effort to assist his development. If he just sits on the bench while Wes turns 34 it's just been a waste of everyone's time.

Shakey: 'Adrien, when you get the ball, just whack it long and let Vards chase it '....
Stadt Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 Huth's our best defender, there's probably not too much mileage left in him but we're much more resolute with him organising and him getting his massive ****ing head on everything

I have a hunch that Morgan's back is managed but he will require time off at some stage this season. The push for Dragovic suggests there are either major injury concerns about Huth/Morgan or that Shakey wants a three at the back option.

Callabinho Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 Dragović and Huth would be our best CB partnership.... unfortunately it will be skipper and that overhyped shit Maguire.... And we will continue to leak goals like no tomorrow....

I know that Morgan told them in the summer that he was first choice otherwise he'd be off, and that any centre half signed would be second fiddle to him.

How do you know that and i doubt there'd be many takers on the wages/contract he's on. I also doubt Shakespeare and LCFC are in a position where they need to accept such an ultimatum.

Wow - if that's the case they've missed a massive opportunity. Could have cut ties and given him a good send off that appeared to be on good terms, possibly with the added bonus of getting a few million for him from a Championship outfit. Seems terrible thinking and saying it and no doubt the blokes a legend, but you reap what you sow. No wonder we're a mess if everyone's carrying on like this behind the scenes.

I reckon Huth has still alot to offer, though I do go with the idea that Drago and Harry should/must be playing more games together........Not just cup matches. When injuries/nonsical transfers/real squad become avalable the team and formation I would like to see... Schmeichel Maguire..Huth/Drago...Chilwell Iborra James Silva Ndidi /Albrighton Mahrez/Gray Vardy Slimani / Nacho The / and or is to see flexabilty in the game, force real competition. Importantly at least 3 real midfielder, the DM can always be exchanged, and swapped also during the game. We've stagnated, more imagintion from CS must be the way forward. We could even use Okazaki in a midfield or 2nd striker role, when injuries hit..eg Iborra Okazaki Silva Ndidi
