davieG Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Half-and-half scarf at Leicester-West Brom bosses begs question: why? 10:49 AM BST Chris Wright The half-and-half scarf is truly a curious beast. To some, it's simply a memento of a particular fixture; to others, it serves as the manifestation of all that is wrong with modern football: the transient loyalties, the rampant commercialism, etc. Just when you thought you'd seen football merchandise reach its nadir, Monday night's Premier League clash between Leicester City and West Brom coughed up a curious evolution of the game's most derided souvenir. Presenting, the managerial half-and-halfer. Taking half-and-half scarves to a whole new level. What better way to commemorate the fateful week night that master strategists Craig Shakespeare and Tony Pulis met in epic battle to produce an enthralling 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium. 1) Who on Earth would commit to producing such tat, and 2) who on Earth would actually buy one?
RoboFox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Craig Tony & Shakespeare Pulis? Sounds like a Motown / Jazz fusion double act.
AKCJ Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 To be fair... had I seen that Shakespeare/Pulis half and half I'd have bought one for the sheer absurdity alone.
SpacedX Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 It is after all a game of two halves. (-shame we only turn up for the second one).
Rocket-Ron Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 you should have seen the Ranieri Klopp one last season
hackenbacker Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 I wouldn't buy the one above it either (or the one above that)... apostrophe not included in England's who wants to wave a grammatically incorrect scarf ... not me!
yorkie1999 Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Can’t believe someone actually took the time to photograph them
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Can’t believe someone actually took the time to photograph themI'm glad someone did. We must never forget.
Guest Electric Yetis Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 The bloke at the bottom of Raw Dykes Road has them for every match. Only time I've ever seen someone buy one was the Shakespeare-Chris Hughton one earlier in the season.
Wymsey Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 The quality of them don't look appealing to purchase. Rip-off merchandise imo.
Turbogre Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 What am I going to do with my Shakespeare/Pulis scarf now?

fazzyfox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 I had joked that on the back the names are on the opposite colour for when they swap clubs.....please god no!

Craig Tony sounds like a discount pizza franchise, the Shakespeare Pulis was an obscure 1930's luxury saloon in the States
foxfanazer Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Thought someone was selling half and half sinks
ozleicester Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 Shakespeare Pulis was an awful disease around in the early 1940s.
