If the coaching staff can't see what's going wrong, we're doomed.....ffs don't put this man in charge for more than a couple of games otherwise we'll find ourselves seven points from safety with nine games remaining, and NP too engrossed in his Belgian project to get us out of the mire.

You can't blame them for having questions and being upset. Most of the squad were fully behind him and it did come out of the blue.

I hate to bring this back to Rudkin, but if Neil Ashton in the S*n is to be believed it was his decision to sack Shakespeare. Sacking a manager that the majority of the squad are behind is likely to backfire. We now have no manager, a caretaker clearly miffed by it all, an unhappy squad who are angry at the board and clearly no contingency plan in place in regards to a replacement.

Alas seems as though the rumours of Ranieri being outed was down to player power, little bit saddening that we gave up on the manager who brought us the greatest of prizes because our prima donna players wanted matey Shakey at the helm.

Sad for Shakey but he's not a Prem manager, players can be cheesed off all the want but now's the time to Buck up or F**K Off.

All true.

The established players fear (fact) was that Shakey was one of them and he miraculously got out of them what he could. As a mate/ coach they trained and played for him.

Suspecting that he was on borrowed time, concern was that the side (not inc new signings) could implode as he's been there throughout like one of the family.

This is in the same vain as a ITK comment heard by Kasper that the culture has totally changed with the new players coming in as so many and so diverse. Any banter that they thrived on has to be explained and there are mini groups forming based on language/ culture.  We have to incorporate incoming players but they were too many and too diverse.

It was insane for him to be offered the job as we had him anyway as a coach.

Rundkin was thought of as a tool by parents during his academy days.

Does seem to strengthen the notion that they shafted Claudio

Completely agree.

Said before that we need someone to come in who will not take anything from them and get rid of some of them.

Personally think there will be some big scalpings coming out when the new man comes in, some may be painful to take but may benefit us down the line to have a clear out and start again.

It is a truly awful thought that Rudkin might have pulled the trigger because he heard a few boos on Monday night. We were far from great but we probably should have won that game, so act after that game rather than as others have suggested during the international break is ludicrous.

If the owners think he is competent, one has to question their judgement. I think they have become distracted. They’ve bought another club as we know, spent £15 million on racehorses a couple of weeks ago, and don’t seem to be in attendance as much anymore.

We need someone in who will throw a few chairs about and tell them play or fook off.

in years gone by I had a boss who was an absolute Cnut, hated him.

Dont think 20 years later I would acknowledge him if I saw him, however I got on a bank incentive trip( can you imagine that in this day and age) to Singapore and Malaysia staying in the best hotels imaginable.

without a shadow of a doubt without him pushing me day in day out being that Cnut, I would never have got on them.

The Area Manager before was a lovely man and was a decent bloke, who didn't push me at all.So I didn't push myself.

saying that I wasn't on 100k a week so actually gave a shit.

I initially read that (twice) as "his parents". I thought blimey, that's a little harsh, but makes sense lol

Let's hope the new man is given the power to put Rudkin in his place then?

Not too sure where this ‘ player power ‘ has come from.

Sounds to me the papers are just writing any old bollocks

I think the papers like narrative that says the player got claudio sacked and are too big for their pumas

I can imaging the players feeling that they have let shakey down.... and rather then face this, they say the owners acted too quickly.  It is called survivor guilt.  In reality there are a lot of things wrong at the club that have contributed to a lack of progress requiring a change.  IMO the fans AND players should be glad that the owners are prepared to tackle such things rather than allow the club to spiral down -  most of the real fans have said that while shakey's departure is sad,  it was necessary .  So now things are uncertain for the players... they may get a new boss they don't like or who doesn't like them.  best thing to do is focus on the next few games at this is going to take a while to sort out. Embrace it.

Interesting they're annoyed he's been sacked yet looked like they weren't playing for him in most games.

Games like Spurs, Bournemouth, Huddersfield - they just weren't bothered at all.

The players need to have a serious look at themselves because some of them have woefully underperformed for 2 managers and have got them the sack.

There is more than one person to blame for our demise and I'm not just talking about Rudkin either.

If only, appears Rudkin is the most poisonous person at our club. Love our owners but what will it take for them to realise this man cannot be trusted.

Quite a lot, given that he's DoF at 2 clubs and Racehorse manager.....would be a massive admission of failure on their part to get rid of him now.

Boo f*****g hoo.

Seriously getting pissed off with the players. Didn't it appear to them that we are currently one of the worst sides of the league? Were they happy to be outplayed by Huddersfield and park the bus against Bournemouth? Let's see how they'll react against Swansea.

Hoping for a strong manager to destroy some egos and bring them to actually earn the f*****g money they get at the end of the month.
