Would've had Simmo in for Iborra, moving Amartey to CM to keep Ibo fit for the weekend personally, but very happy with the side overall

Why? - He needs game time. I understand it you are concerned about the possibility of injury given our paucity in MF right now, but otherwise four days is plenty of time in the interim.

I'm disappointed that we're not trying Amartey in a forward/strikers role. 

 

We've seen him play pretty much everywhere else.

 

Would have been the perfect opportunity.

 At least we've avoided another Ulloa/Slim double act! Bit worried about a lack of mobility in CM but Ndidi needed a rest and our only other option there is Amartey, who has to play RB cos we have no proper cover for Simpson. So all in all think the team makes sense. Really hope to see a good performance from Nacho tonight. COYB!

We should be wrapping our best central midfielder up in cotton wool after the Silva news.

Predicted the midfield and forwards correctly, as I've said before I'm not concerned so much about the changes in personnel just whether it clicks and gels quickly and that we have a recognisable shape (unlike the first halves of the previous cup games). Look pretty balanced, very interested to see Ihanacho get more involved and see what he's got. Predicting Gray to play well and score and give Appleton / Puel/ Gravel Throat / Curbishley something to think about for the next game.
