foxfanazer Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Happy with that lineup. Intriguing strike partnership

Possibly...right now we wouldn't need much. I still think that the game time will be good for him because he's clearly not up to speed. Was the same with Inler but due to greater depth in the squad he ended up sidelined.
Blue ROI Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Ok-ish starting line up. Would like Dragovic to stand up like Iborra did last Saturday. Good oppurtunity here. Iborra needs games to get up to the pace of the English game and stamp his place on the team. The Nacho-Slim partnership looks good on paper and no harm to move away from the over-reliance on Vardy.

Have you applied for the manager's job?

He probably will. Gray always shines against lower league opposition. Then he gets an opportunity to start the next PL game and ends up being a bit useless. Then gets dropped to the bench again. Rinse and repeat.
Loves2spooge Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 have we ever played Kelechi with Slimani before ? or is this the first time we mix Nachos & Salami ?

If he comes through tonight unscathed then happy days. Is it a risk worth taking

Depends how the 4-4-2 is used with regards to the midfield pairing. Against Swansea it was a good choice having Iborra sitting back spraying passes while Ndidi got foward to give support to the attack. If we have just 2 midfielders in a single line then we will have fewer options up front which will result in difficulty playing the ball out and finding the passes in between the opposition midfield and defense. Hopefully tonight King will be given the Ndidi role of finding space further up the pitch.
SheppyFox Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 We really do have decent squad depth now, big changes and still a very decent team, just need the right manager now don’t we

We need to commit to Gray, if you go from playing Championship games to Prem games where the opposition mark tighter and are quicker in thought, of course there will be difficulties in adapting. Give him a run of 3-5 starts after tonight if he plays well to see if he can adapt. Deserves an equal amount of chances as Albrighton seems to get. (I dont count 10 minute sub apperances as a chance)

brookfox Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Be interesting to see which of Nacho and Slim play up top and who drops deep. We seem to have three who like to lead the line and only Shinji who can play the support role.
