GaelicFox Posted 1 November 2017 Posted 1 November 2017 Spurs putting Madrid to the sword tonight is the first clear sign that Spain’s golden era is offiCially dead Barca are in decline they will never ever replace Messi , Madrid can no longer out bid Premier League Teams The premier league now attracts the best players , the best managers and the richest owners .... domination is within this leagues grasp we are now part of the emerging force in world football , and it’s all down to money and being able to buy the best at will. how long before UEFA act ?

Grame Sounness mentioned on Sky that England will dominate the Champions League for years to come after Man Utd beat Barcelona in the 2008 semi final. How did that one turn out?!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 November 2017 Posted 1 November 2017 Hugely premature reaction. Remember when Dortmund absolutely panned Real Madrid and Bayern smashed Barca in 2013 en route to an all German final and people were saying the same? All Spanish winners since.
Stadt Posted 1 November 2017 Posted 1 November 2017 Real got beaten by Wolfsburg last year (or was it the season before?) and people overreacted then too.
Nalis Posted 1 November 2017 Posted 1 November 2017 Spurs will win fvck all again this season, feel free to quote me on this next May.
CockneyFox Posted 1 November 2017 Posted 1 November 2017 Madrid had 63% possession and nigh on double the attempts on goal (20 vs 11), a little premature I think!
Nalis Posted 1 November 2017 Posted 1 November 2017 Just now, CockneyFox said: Madrid had 63% possession and nigh on double the attempts on goal (20 vs 11), a little premature I think! I really really hope someone on The fighting cvnt forum has mentioned this fact amd coupled it with 'doesnt matter, we deservedly won 3-1'.....
Dan Posted 1 November 2017 Posted 1 November 2017 Way too early for this. English sides the outstanding ones in Europe this year so far, bit it's ridiculous to write Barcelona off. They're top of their group and beat Juventus 3-0. I'd still back them against Spurs.

Guest MattP Posted 2 November 2017 Posted 2 November 2017 Still bet we get more Spanish sides in the last 4 than British. Manchester City look like the first English team that can win the CL for a while though.

MC Prussian Posted 2 November 2017 Posted 2 November 2017 Very premature reaction based on one result. Coincidentally, only now that Spurs, an English team, beat the Royals? I wonder why... The same Tottenham that got beat 3-2 at West Ham? Neither Real nor Barcelona's dominance are over (just yet). Valencia are having a great run of form as of late, but they'll have to prove they're the real deal over the course of an entire season. My guess is once Real have analyzed their situation and Barcelona see their sick bay clearing up, they'll both be back stronger and better.
sk3since03 Posted 2 November 2017 Posted 2 November 2017 Real Madrid will always be the club players strive to play for though i’d imagine! I know i would! Barcelona in decline? No chance
goose2010 Posted 2 November 2017 Posted 2 November 2017 Barca are as strong as ever if you ask me. They are taking la liga apart and will breeze through the champs league group / last 16. Madrid on the other hand need a freshen up and that will happen this season / in the summer. The premier league is the richest league in the world but if a play had a choice of madrid or man utd 90% would still take Madrid.
Tuna Posted 2 November 2017 Posted 2 November 2017 I think the allure of Madrid and Barca will always be irresistible, they'll always be able to get the best of the best.
Muzzy_no7 Posted 2 November 2017 Posted 2 November 2017 Got a £50 bet on with my mate that no English teams will win either European trophy this season so I hope not haha
Fox92 Posted 2 November 2017 Posted 2 November 2017 Real Madrid will always attract the greatest players and managers, they are the biggest football club in the World. One result for Madrid won't change anything. I imagine the pressure of having to deliver something at the club is huge.
ScouseFox Posted 2 November 2017 Posted 2 November 2017 psg will win the champions league for the next 5 years in a row x

I actually think you might be wrong on that score...... we have five decent sides who will all probably qualify and you'd think, from here on in, at least four will win their group getting an easier fixture in the next round, with Real having a potentially very tough game as it would take something special for them not to finish 2nd now. They are struggling domestically as well lets remember, Sevilla are very beatable and Atletico are practically gone already. Whether we can even get two into the last four to top Barcelona should they make it there is another question
