Can see England putting on a 100 without losing a wicket, increasing the hope of a positive result, then losing a couple getting the nerves going even more, giving Australia hope, then seeing out then someone like Broad or Overton seeing out the win.

 

Or England lose the rest of their wickets for a paltry 30-40 runs in the first session

Going to set my alarm for the start of the 2nd session. Hoping Root is 100* and Mo is flaying the ball to all parts when I awaken. More expecting England to be 8 down and to watch the last few wickets tumble meekly and trudge off to work tired and grumpy.

Ali isn't and never will be a top 6 international batsman, if he's not bowling he shouldn't be in the team.

 

Need a 50 from Overton to stand a chance, looking like a lost cause, 3 wickets gone to an old ball. Terrible.

There have definitely been some strange decisions by both captains in this second test. I can’t see us clawing it back from two down now, it’s a real shame because this is one of the worst Australian sides I’ve ever seen and we might not have a better chance of doing them down under for another 30 years.

That was very predictable, such a shame there was no fight this morning. Australia still had the upper had and were favourites, but we didn't even make them sweat after working so hard yesterday it is just such a shame.

I can't believe we have sacrificed Bairstow because he "bats well with the tail" it should be the tail that help him, not the other way round.
