I was annoyed this was on BT Sport and I couldn't watch it, couldn't even watch highlights because BT Sport also had them, therefore wouldn't follow it too much, e.t.c

I'm glad now.

I've checked on scores from time to time but glad i've not invested too much time in it.

Cheers BT Sport, you've done me a favour

I'd rather get waterboarded than watch another day like that.

Doesn't help when our world class batsmen or bowlers haven't really turn up (so far) whereas the Aussies have.

TBH A lot of pundits predicted this I think before the Series started.

We've had one or two good days in a test which sums it all up.

I would be somewhat ok if this was onve of the greatest Australian teams to play. But they are nowhere near. We have been shambolic. Our bowling attack is made for England conditions. I wouldnt back any of these on Australian pitches

Also wtf has cook been doing?

I was underwhelmed with our selection for this series but thought that if Australia were relying on the likes of Kawajah Bancroft Marsh and Paine it would come down to a plan to get rid of Smith before he did any damage and there would be a reasonable contest between 2 meh sides.

Bayliss and Root don't look capable of drawing up a plan to get themselves to the correct venue in time for the start of play and have succeeded in making the Australians look half decent

One of them needs to go.

I said at the time Root shouldnt have been made captain, but who have we got to replace him?,, the whole lot of them go hiding when it gets tough. Someone on another forum suggested Broad ?, the man who stands there doing a teapot when something goes against him, blames others for his own s hite bowling,, he even mouthed off to Stoneman to fetch the ball at one point, so nah I wouldnt have him anywhere near the captaincy,.. anderson is too grumpy and hardly a motivator,, theres no one in our team who is a leader sadly. Broad was the worst of the lot yesterday and would be first one dropped imo.

Depressing, yet so so predictable.

Horrible that my thoughts have already turned into hoping we can dig in the next couple of days and not have to see out something like Australia 550-8 declared this time tommorow.

You can tell i was pissed when i wrote this, Australia to knock just 550-8 and declare ?? never drinking again!!

Cookie is DONE

send him home

and crack on with a wild card opening pair for last two tests

we lack focus and courage and that’s on and off the wicket

right now we need to go for it in a huge way the last two Move Bairstows up the order again !!!

We will lose this test and the series is over

cook and Anderson have played their last ashes series , thanks for the memories lads but it’s time to go

this is a one man Aussie team and we are making them look like legends

Pitch is unplayable, umpires brought then out way too early.

I hope none of them try to use the pitch today as much of an excuse once this is over but should have been left another another hour or so before play started.

340 odd for 4 on day two, rain delays, and yet still likely to lose with a session to spare, awful!
