Watching Ndidi and Iborra dominate Newcastle's midfield this evening was a thing of absolute beauty. They are both top players and compliment each other brilliantly Ndidi with his athleticism Iborra with his organisation.

Anyway simple question would either of them get in your top Leicester city best ever center mids you have ever seen play live. Mine would be:

1 kante (we literally had the best center mid in the world at city for a season complete madness looking back)

2 Izzet

3 Drinkwater

4 Lennon

5 Ndidi

It's probably a bit early for iborra but he could come in if he keeps this form up for a few more months.

This.

Although my main man in the midfield is the Birch for his time as a player and now more importantly as ambassador/master of ceremonies

Kante - how can he not be rated as the best holding midfielder to have ever played for anyone, let alone us.

Cambiasso -pure class oozed from this player.

Lennon - hard as nails, allowed Muzzy to do his stuff.

Izzet - an absolute joy to watch. Also such a genuine block. I met him a number of times through my work, top man.

And  if we keep N'didi for a few years I think he will become a legend. He is still very young and he is improving every month. Playing alongside Iborra is really helping him.

Kanté - obvious reasons.

Izzet - childhood hero, could’ve left us but always stayed and scored some beauties.

Lennon - we literally couldn’t function without him.

Drinkwater - had his bad days but when he was on form he was tremendous.

Wellens - for the lols.

Iborra and Ndidi or even Silva could knock Drinkwater off the list after a season or two.

In recent times:

The Little French Guy - Without doubt one of the main reasons my dream became reality

The Bald Argentine  - Couldn't believe we actually had a world legend playing for us

The Chelsea Reject - Thank God they didn't see his potential, loved watching him

The Lanky Nigerian - Even at such a young age and even with the odd mistake, Just get's his job done.

My all time favourites - Weller, Sammels,Birchenall. 1971-1977. I've put them as one  because I couldn't seperate them.

Some on here never got to see the Team Bloomfield put together, which is a great pity for you, however great memories for me. :worship:

I remember standing in the Kop, and hearing someone referring to Paul Reid as 'Tea Boy'. I was somewhat amused :)

& probably will be Silva as well I suspect

Lennon and Drinks were good engines but I don't feel quite the same about them

(Oh and Nalis for 30 seconds for that strike from central midfield)

I only have 3

Gibson

Parker

Izzet

They all had a style and character that appealed to me.

I can't split the rest.

Iborra could join them but I need to see more of him.

I have a large extended family and the only thing that really unites us is our love for City. Many have worked/work for city (stewards/announcer/youth coach etc).  When there lull in a conversation at family events, best ever player is my go to question:

Kante

Weller

Lennon

McCallister

Izzet

Kante, Izzet, Lennon and Cambiasso nailed on top four for me.

5th is more tricky. I've got fading memories of Steve Thompson and Garry Parker both being quality players, but not sure how they compare to the likes of Iborra and Ndidi.
