What about Mark Draper?

Ran the show in a very poor team.

My top ten in no order:

Kante

Lennon

Izzet

Draper

MacAllister

N'Didi

Drinkwater

Lee Marshall

Cambiasso

Iborra

(Can you spot the deliberate mistake?)

Buggred off with mcghee...never to be heard of again...oh and a mention to Scott taylor..great player.

Yes he did but I thought, we got the better end of the deal, never the same again after he's leg break.

Forgot all about Scott Taylor, he was another quality player who's LCFC career was cut short by injuries.

Draper stood out like a sore thumb in that team. I always thought he'd one day play for England but another one who never really reached his full potential - a bit like Joachim...

To be fair a few of us have Draper in our top 5 .... quality player

Always hard to do a top 5 of this nature. To  hard to compare the  Gary Macs and Muzzy Izzets with today's crop of Kante or Iborra.

One name I'm surprised not to have seen yet is Eddie Kelly.

Iborra and Ndidi or even Silva could knock Drinkwater off the list after a season or two.

Depends how old you are  only Kante would be a contender for the side that nearly done the the double in the early sixties

I'm 34, so can't comment on that, but it seems I'm in the majority because Kante, Izzet, Lennon and Cambiasso are making most lists.

Definitely Gary Mcallister - watched him carry Leicester in so many games during the dismal Pleat era.  Was sorry to see him leave (Leeds I think?) but was delighted he did so well at Liverpool. He deserved a big stage.

I think it was pretty clear from an early stage that he was far too good for us!

1. Parker

2. Izzet

3. Cambiasso

4. Kante

5. Mark Draper

I don’t think Iborra is far off this list but I will need to see a few more games. Ndidi is still some way off but does have the potential.

Just a reminder Davie Gibson played 280 games for us, scoring 41 goals.. He was a midfield maestro and had to play on quagmire pitches back in the day!

Just looked at his wiki page and they say what a good player he was.

When he packed the game in he later became a postman ... hark back to the days when players were just paid normal wages.

79 years young and still going strong by the sounds of it.

Only at U21 level.

He was called up to the senior squad a couple of times but never won a full cap...
