He looked bereft of confidence, Which is strange for a player whose being playing well

at a higher level than Fleetwood.

He has just had five awful goalless games with a rapidly approaching relegation Barnsley.

Barnes is a reasonable dribbler, he’s not blisteringly quick but his close control is good and he’s agile. Potentially a more threatening Albrighton in the making.

Jesus, people still criticising Albrighton? So underrated.

Where have I criticised Albrighton there?

A more threatening Albrighton? If Barnes achieves what Albrighton has he will have had a very good career.

That’s not a knock on Albrighton but he’s never been very prolific in his career, Barnes has already looked more of a goal threat.

So you probably meant a more prolific, Albrightons main threat is his ability to land it on anyone’s forehead from half the pitch away.

Harvey doesn't look like a winger I'm not sure the comparison fits. But if he does turn into a solid Premier League player a la Albrighton then our youth development will have done excellent work. I'd obviously like to dream of something bigger...

Semantics but yeah.

Heard around the beginning of November Barnes was going to come back end of December, with the plan for him to have played a number of games for us before the end of the season.

So obviously he is very highly thought of.

Just hope Saturday was a one off bad performance.

Barnes, was being let down by the more experienced players around him....

We know how he feels!

Difficult to judge the lad on that one poor game, one training session wouldn't have given him much chance to integrate with teammates either. Hopefully they'll all be better next time out because no-one came out of that with any credibility.

Tried to do too much himself today unfortunately, needs minutes though and he'd perhaps have been better served going out on loan again rather than getting a few minutes here or there.

Also didn't help he wasn't always given the service to cause problems

Agreed, he's not quite ready yet for us. Needs regular games at Championship level.

We did the right thing. Brought him back, have taken a real good look at him and we still have time to send him out on loan again...

Don’t think you can play for 3 teams in one season, so another loan is out of the question.

Best thing to do is let him play the cup games and maybe some appearances off the bench in the league when we’re winning by 2/3 goals..

He looked a little indecisive,  slow in his decision making, caught in possession a lot and guilty of poor passes, positives were his eagerness to get on the ball and his hard work, he’s still learning but probably needs another loan spell preferably in the championship

Was alarming how long he tried to stay on the ball at the wrong times, like Barkley does when he's having a howler. Let's get this straight, he's proven he can rip new riz holes at that level so he's not out of his depth. He's just trying too hard to make an impression and needs to settle down. Big Claude knows how to look after players like this though, I'm sure he's got many a game ahead of him. In a way had Iheanacho set him up and he scored we could have seen the shackles off. But Iheanacho himself is desperate for the headlines to prove himself so it was understandable. Diabate looks ready anyway haha, fcuk me!!!

Or send him back to Barnsley?

Likely to keep him fo cup games though I’d imagine

Liked his attitude today only 19 but was prepared to put himself about against a quite physical team..probably overdid trying to make a good impression but i would rather that  than trying to hide.
