Think more of a clue is that they sold him in the first place

You are talking about a manager that sold Ronaldinho, Yaya Toure, Eto'o and Zlatan in their primes. Getting sold by Pep doesn't mean you are a bad player.

Surprising signing. I think it's one for the development squad, who have been a big focus for the club recently (and are currently second in PL2). Dare I say it, but it seems like good work from Rudkin to create a competitive U23 setup so that we can develop players instead of spending huge sums on players who may or may not work out. Of course we will have to see if players can come through and establish themselves in the first team but Chilwell is impressive for a young player and bodes well for the future.

To die with all the players who are currently second in the U23 league, can't stop winning and have been given chances on our bench this season?

There's never been a better time to be part of our youth team IMHO, we've got a manager who wants to give youth a chance and recruitment focused on taking the best young talent from this country and abroad.

Well said that Man. :scarf:

You would think Puel has been given a glowing recommendation by his son about Diabate. You can be a much better judge of a footballer when you actually play with them rather than just watching them.

Puel's son may be a bit of a scout for us in Ligue 2 as no doubt he'd tell his father about other good opposition prospects that he plays against.

As long as they're both consenting adults I don't think that's any of our business.

Encouraging sign is that I can find only a handful of youtube videos on him - none that convince me that he is any good.

It was pretty much the same with Mahrez and Kante.
