lgfualol Posted 8 January 2018 Posted 8 January 2018 No idea who he is or where he plays. All I know is that he is going to be the best player in the world. 2

Getting sold by Pep doesn't mean you are a bad player. 2
TheHitman™ Posted 8 January 2018 Posted 8 January 2018 As for this player, this is one of those sales that could end up as low risk high reward or just low risk.

StriderHiryu Posted 8 January 2018 Posted 8 January 2018 Surprising signing. I think it's one for the development squad, who have been a big focus for the club recently (and are currently second in PL2). Dare I say it, but it seems like good work from Rudkin to create a competitive U23 setup so that we can develop players instead of spending huge sums on players who may or may not work out. Of course we will have to see if players can come through and establish themselves in the first team but Chilwell is impressive for a young player and bodes well for the future.

There's never been a better time to be part of our youth team IMHO, we've got a manager who wants to give youth a chance and recruitment focused on taking the best young talent from this country and abroad. Well said that Man.
Gerard Posted 8 January 2018 Posted 8 January 2018 He looks a lot younger than 22 which is reassuring for an African born player.

Wymsey Posted 8 January 2018 Posted 8 January 2018 Imagine if he made an impact straightaway, compared to Iheanacho, considering the fees paid..

Gerard Posted 8 January 2018 Posted 8 January 2018 You would think Puel has been given a glowing recommendation by his son about Diabate. You can be a much better judge of a footballer when you actually play with them rather than just watching them. Puel's son may be a bit of a scout for us in Ligue 2 as no doubt he'd tell his father about other good opposition prospects that he plays against.

HitchinFox Posted 8 January 2018 Posted 8 January 2018 Encouraging sign is that I can find only a handful of youtube videos on him - none that convince me that he is any good. It was pretty much the same with Mahrez and Kante.
