King Richard 3rd for me

Out of interest have always drank in there or since the refurb/takeover.

Loved the place before although had to turn a blind eye to the Villa gear behind the bar. Not been in since it had the refurb.

Villa gear was an eyesore but landlord was a decent bloke who used to organise taxis to the ground for us etc

Shame about what happened.

Tale it.or leave it now to be honest it' just our meeting place

Always go the Cricket Club opossite the Ground, Close to the ground, cheap enough and sit outside in the sun when cricket is on pre match in the summer.

The Dry Dock is where we drink most before games. Mainly due to parking near the ground and not having loads of time to walk into town.  Nice pub, not rammed and a few pool tables. Plus every other pub near the ground is rammed and crap anyway.

Only time we get a chance of drinking in town are the late kick offs or the morning off work. Which admittedly I've not been many.

Lived on the Narb for years, yet never found myself in Lost Bar, until one post-match last year I decided to try it.

I haven't been since.

The Loaded Dog as my mate lived nearby or Taps.

Unfortunately one I'm too old for and one is closed down :( .

Is the space formerly occupied by Taps anything now? Been a while since I've been up for a game.

Taps has been replaced by a cocktail bar which is naff.

Hope Tap in the Square reopens. Saving that it’s Salmon, Globe, Kings Head or Criteron pre match

Used to go to The Huntsman but since its changed hands is awful, so went to the Lost Bar, but thats now changed hands and the beer is foul. went Across the Road to The Oasis but need to get there early because it gets packed out. Less and less places that side of the ground that show the early kick off.

Blues Bar and Grill (same building as the Holiday Inn, right next to the ground) is alright, although it's usually understandably crammed etc.

Great bloke Bobby is. Him & his lad used to follow Villa all over the world even pre season tours in the states.

Anyway I pre-match in The Union down on Middleton street.

For those that drink in the Brickies, is it still ridiculously busy? Or has it shaken down now a little with others finding different routines after the immediate aftermath of the Swan and Font going?
