I don't particularly rate Everard's, not mad on their beer and most of their boozers have been refurbed to be gastro and bland as sin (some are still great though - The Crown in Beeston is Susan) and on the face of it that's a naff idea *but* it might not be catastrophic, depends how they strike a balance. I guess at the moment they need to think about what's best for securing the future of the pub and any staff.

Always felt like the gaff was likely to lose its character under their refurb anyway. Hope Dulux has knocked out enough grey paint.

I thought maybe The Old Horse might open in April considering it has a load of outside space. Apparently not though as they're waiting till they can open inside. A bit of a blow that is

City Centre pubs with beer gardens/outdoor space that you think would be opening -

The Salmon, The Western, Loaded Dog, The Hind, Parcel Yard, Tonne, Wyggeston House, O'Neills, The Tree, Rutland & Derby and The Marquis.

They can get a fair few up on the raised terrace. Fingers crossed they'll open in April.

Where are you looking forwarded to going when the beer gardens open up on the 12th?

Are there many opening on the 12th? I've not been keeping an eye on what's going on.

The landlady from the peel has taken it on. Full redecoration and half of it to become a cafe.

Not exactly City Centre but the Crows Nest is getting geared up for the glorious 12th.

'Glorious 12th' is a term associated with a different month where I'm from.
