Lesson learnt.  I've been using my laptop, but can't get an odds boost with William Hill unless I use my mobile.

I can't complain too much, I'm about £250 up so far & if Altior wins I might retire (a couple of weeks early)

A few years ago I was pissing about on one of the betting apps on my phone.

Accidentally put 20 quid on a greyhounds treble that I didn't have a clue about.

Was quite nice to check the balance the day after they'd won :)

Any recommendations on the last? Not been the best of days today!

17:30 Weatherbys Champion Bumper   2m ½f

2017 Winner: FAYONAGH (7/1)
Trainer – Gordon Elliott
Jockey – Jamie Codd

Pluses….

  • 23 of the last 25 had won last time out
  • Respect Irish-trained runners (18 from 34)
  • 4 of the last 8 winners were won by UK-based trainers
  • 17 of the last 25 came from the top 6 in the betting
  • 19 of the last 25 were Irish-bred
  • 10 of the last 17 winners were second season horses
  • 11 of the last 12 winners were aged 5 or 6 years-old
  • 15 of the last 17 had their debut runs in Ireland
  • 11 of the last 15 had been beaten in a race before
  • 5 of the last 8 winners returned between 14/1 and 40/1
  • Respect Willie Mullins (8 winners), but is just 2 from last 29 runners
  • The Irish lead the British 19-7 in the race history

Negatives….

  • Avoid horses with 4 or more NH Flat runs
  • 1 winning favourite in the last 10 runnings
  • 4 year-olds are 1 from 54 since 2000
  • Gigginstown, Paul Nicholls & Nicky Henderson don’t often focus on the race

Those old enough will remember Rhinestone Cowboy being the red hot fav for this race , but I fancied the chances of a young Jamie Spencer to win the Bumper for his late fathers best friends and Pizzaro duely got up and beat Rhinestone Cowboy in the Bumper , there was a huge stewards enquiry and I really thought that he would get thrown out but I was delighted he held on I think I had 200 each way on Pizarro each way @ 16/1 the last big bet I had in this race

The last two winners saved me. Now actually up for the week, with free bets to play with tomorrow still too. Can't wait to be on course!

Had a great day with a few multiples of Samcro, Presenting Percy & Altior chucked in with some yesterday of the two winning faves had stuck me up by £600.

Then Relegate flew up the hill at a lovely 33/1 to stick another £150 on hahaha!!

Love Cheltenham me.
