Southampton fans must be loving this

I remember how many of us (not all, in fairness) of people criticised them for being glad to get rid of Puel.

 

He finished in 8th with them - how could that be a bad season?  So I suppose it's ironic that we're in 8th, yet have been playing poor football, with poor results, for a while now. Admittedly, we haven't had a cup final (yet!), but If the season finished now, would anyone feel like it had been a successful season, even if the league position suggested otherwise? 

 

I'm not suggesting we sack him, but would anyone be particularly gutted if he went? I can't say I'd overly upset. I think my reaction would be "meh", which pretty much sums up the football, the results, and the manager this season.

Very odd thread, this. They are 17th at the moment.

 

Yes, they might be right in terms of our style of play situation but they'd swap places like a shot.

Just another fan stirring the pot. What's this obsession with WANTING to hate our manager as soon as something "appears" to go wrong? Ludicrous

I can’t say I took too much notice of Southampton or him at Southampton but what I’m led to believe this is a carbon copy.

 

What I will say is he arguably had excuses there - lack of attacking options, that excuse doesn’t wash here though.

Most people seem to be missing the point somewhat.

 

I don't hate the manager (I'm fairly indifferent), and I'm not saying Southampton are doing better without him. I'm saying that what happened at Southampton is happening here. We're playing boring football and our goal scoring has all but dried up. We're probably going to see a lot more 1 - 0 and 1 - 1 games.

 

Southhampton fans warned us about this. And most people said they were talking rubbish. Well, now it's come back to bite us, because they were spot on.

 

But keep on missing the point, everyone.

Maybe if the title had been "Saints fans had a valid point" or something similar a different response probably would've happened.

It all started so well, positive attacking football, played Southampton of the Park, we couldn’t see why Southampton thought he played boring football.

 A few months on, how ****ing right they were, after the same shit different day, I’m done with him.

 I don’t know what he does in training, but the players haven’t got a clue come match day, but he’s responsible for picking the same weak links, the players not understanding what’s they are supposed to be doing.

 Shame really, I thought he was the future, enjoyed his style, but he baffles me every week, he’s not for me anymore, and can’t be bothered to his whispered bullshit excuses.

 Today was an insult to those fans who brave the freezing conditions

ITS Not the Formation,ITS Not the subs,and it aint Puel.

 

Each time Hes tried to tweeking it,He gets Flak,He puts Out a Silva,and a 3 man midfield...

.Some Reckon an 19yr old Diabete,is going to Change it.

Looking at our Last 5-6 Games Puel has selected,at the time the better Players,from within

the squad.  The Players are Not performing,when selected.Its Not about 1-2 Players that

Some posters,believe are Not good enough.

 

Our attacking Players have been poor int theirattacking roles. 

So called midfield saviours,from 98% of the posters have been

Out of Form/Not AS good AS./ are Not playing Well enough for top 7///

So our dream midfield,at different Times have been given a Chance,

Silva/Iborra/now Ndidi have Not shown any Top half performances,Well below avg.

Those Players going over the whitewash,have been in the Last 6 Games,so poor that

any Manager would despair.

This was a Game for Silva and Ndidi,to Help Pull us around,Puel gave them the Chance,

They werent Just OK,they werent AVG,they were poor.....

I didnt think I would ever say this,but WE might try a Set Up without Ndidi...
