I'd you're drinking an English breakfast blend black then you're doing it wrong, to be honest. These are teas that have been blended since forever to be drunk with milk.

There's plenty of teas out there that weren't.

This thread is so upsetting. :D

@Babylon have you tried lactofree? It's just milk with an enzyme designed to remove the lactose iirc. Tastes like semi skimmed.

Not yet, will give that a try as well and see how I get on! Cheers.

Whenever I'm in town in a coffee shop I always have an Earl Grey. They say to me " do you want milk with that? " I say no thanks, just black please and they'll give me an approving nod and say out the side of their mouth's " that's how it should be"  :D

The colour of Earl Grey with milk should tell anyone that milk doesn't belong in Earl Grey.

Same as darjeeling.

I CAN drink black tea, but people give you such funny looks when you tell them, I just have it with milk for a quiet life.

Yeah I’m the same, I spent years having it just black but gave up because people get weirded out by it.

So no milk and no sugar? And that’s a Tea? Are you sure?

I haven't had sugar in my tea since I was a teen. Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole now.

Same!

Just one granule of sugar would ruin my tea. Coffee I can drink with or without, black or white, but tea HAS to be sugarless and strong.

Strong Yorkshire for me, milk no sugar. Used to have 2 sugars until recently, but if your giving it up you really need to go cold turkey and just stop, the tea tastes different for a week or so but you quickly get used to it. If someone accidentally puts sugar in it now all I can taste is sugar, sets my teeth on edge. lol

Never really bothered with coffee shops but like to brew my own at home with a mocha pot/espresso maker, lavassa's good but often buy different varieties from an online supplier.

I had this cinnamon tea in Ecuador that was unreal, every cinnamon tea I’ve tried since has failed to deliver :(

Twinings Breakfast Tea with creamy milk (don't like the standard green and red milk taste choices in supermarkets etc) and brown sugar.
