Beer or water lol like that’s a decision to be made, what kind of whimp would choose free water!?

Sad-case sober ex-pissheads like me, for a start. I'll be getting very excited about my free water.

A bit like our fans then! We could bring more flags and banners, etc and sing more. :)

I do agree it's up to fans to create their own identity, but the club actively seem to rail against anything encouraging that sometimes. Plus, did they really need to remove the banners of ex-legends and the border which ran round the roof to be replaced with KP branding? Seems gratuitous given all the sponsorship that already exists.

We're going to have another one of those North Korea style Happy Birthday banners aren't we?

Yes.

No problem with the man trying to celebrate his birthday, every problem that he has to have an orchestrated show of affection from 32,000 people who only really care about how the team perform on the pitch. You can tell he's a bloke who wants to be worshipped though, just look at the people he employs.

Not that I’m knocking it,

but the beer is due to go out of date that’s why they give it away,

like other seasons,

by offering it as a gift gets the owners more brownie points, and keeps us all on side until season ticket prices increase?

Not sure if it's his idea or the lickspittles below him though. Either way it's very strange. I can't think of another club where the chairman is venerated in quite the same way as he is here.

Fair point.

The banner removal really pissed me off. That was great.

I totally missed it last year during the game but saw a picture the other day. They actually flew a plane over carrying a message of 'Happy Birthday Mr Chairman'. Proper KPFC gold that.

I can tolerate the ground being called the King Power stadium and shirt sponsorship too but is there any need for the probably thousands of King Power hoardings and panels inside the stadium? I'm certain that any exposure to be gained (for a business that operates with a captive audience anyway) is saturated by the naming rights and shirt sponsor.

Looking forward to the inevitable outrage when someone doesn't get one and other people proudly proclaim how they rubbed the stamp off their hands and went back 13 times lol

Not a patch on the one we had for John Elsom.

Tip of the day for @Kp1984:

If you want to make your point better you can use the quote button or multi-quote feature. You can also name another member e.g. @StanSP in your post to alert them.

Just saying!

I take the water, I can have it under my seat etc and have it at half time in my seats. I had the beer twice before and both times it was horrible. I'd rather have a beer in the pub like usual which I actually enjoy and then take the water.

Same here, I tend to drink quality over quantity these days. I've took the beer option before and it was ok at best.

Thought I'd return the favour and buy the man a present. Was thinking of something useful for the helicopter like some engine oil, went on ebay and typed in  "Lubricant for chopper", cheaper than I expected, it should be with him tomorrow, wish I could see the look on his face when he opens it.
