So I've just had a surprise video chat with Danny Simpson. So basically he's said we've had some good times but sadly they've got to come to an end. Haven't seen any rumours but from the context of the conversation it sounded like he was saying he's gone.

Nah a friend of mine from the army bumped into him in the airport, claims he's on his way to Toronto. He's obviously said I was a fan and my friend video called me. He was abit drunk. He's either saying he's leaving or ment it's gonna end and the good times will come again in puel leaving but the way it came out and from the context it sounds like he's a goner.

Reckon he could just be referring to losing his starting spot?

Nah I don't think so, there was alot about how much he's enjoyed his time at Leicester ect but it all ended with sadly it's got come to an end.

I didn't really get chance to ask him more, I think they'd been speaking to him for a while and my mate had to go get on the plane. Personally I hope he didn't mean to say he was leaving and it's come out wrong after a few beers lol I like Simpson. Might not be the greatest going forward but he's been unbelievable defensively for us and even if it's as a back up, I'd keep him.

Actually forgot that Amartey and Musa are still on the books at the club.

Hope they sell Musa at all costs, as doubt we'll make any profit on him.

Still 50-50 on Amartey, in terms of how much more he can improve/offer.

No problem with a jack of all trades being here, good for emergency situations. He's not shown himself up playing from right back and that's more than some thought he was capable of.

There's a difference between who I think will leave and who I hope leaves. There are a few players that I wouldn't mind leaving who are unlikely to get decent (or any) offers for.

I've always been a fan of Slimani but I think his bridges are burnt here but there is no way any team makes a serious offer for him.

Musa doesn't seem to have a place here but can't see anyone stumping up enough cash for him either.

Kingy will probably go on a free to Swansea.

No-one's taking Mendy but I'll be happy to see him back here as long as Puel is still in charge.

Huth has obviously gone.

Fuchs and Simpson sadly won't go anywhere and we'll have to pay them.

Hopefully Mahrez goes to RM or Man City where the wood can get in his arse.

I don't mind Kasper going.

I'd like Hamer and Jakupovic to go.

I'd be happy for Wes to go to a championship club who have ambitions of promotion.

Demarai can go to Spurs - but they won't pay for him.

Benny can go

Ulloa can go.

The rest I'm happy to keep - including Bartuska (I've spelled that wrongly sorry)

However unless we're giving the players away on free transfers I only see those out of contract actually leaving and possibly Mahrez.

As long as we keep Wes and Rudkin, everyone else can go:ph34r:

Fuchs will be around, he has one more year on his deal before going off to live in the States.

I agree the recruitment has to be better , the core of the squad are getting older and signings since the title win have largely been garbage. Mind you so has the football since Christmas. I remember the Fleetwood game and it started reminding me too much of the Peter Taylor anaemic style.

You can get rid of Musa and Slimani for me. Simpson has to stay as we have no other viable offer there. Amartey needs to make a position his own or be let go. Benny is a bouncer in a football strip with the ability of Jimmy Willis.

I love Shinji to bit but his high energy style and the philosophy on the manager seem to be at odds.

 We are screwed ,aren't we?

GK: Hamer

RB: Amartey (Loan)

CB: Huth

CB: Benalouane

RW: Musa

CM: King

CM: James

CM: Mendy

LW: Kapustka

ST: Ulloa

CF: Slimani

That’s a lot of muck we need to get rid of, but it needs to be done. There is no future at the club for any of these players, bar possibly Amartey and Mendy if Puel thinks he can get the best out of him.

Not sure how credible or knowledgeable the person that gave me this info would be but their are rumours that Mahrez put Man City off with his behaviour.

He has, amongst others.

I think Maguire's future will depend on the world cup. If he starts, and plays well, I wouldn't be surprised if the top 6 coming hunting.

Well if that happens, we'll be demanding his market value which is by no means cheap and perhaps with some improved spending on our part would help us far more than he's actually worth to us.

Think that's about spot on really. Controversial I know,  but I believe that we need a real upgrade in midfield to partner Ndidi if we insist on playing a two. Choudhury is young and up and coming so I'd keep him. Silva has just about scraped the chance of a second season but for me Iborra is just not cut out for a fast moving premiership. Slow, cumbersome, every good pass followed by two poor ones, moves slowly about 5yds from one side to the other and doesn't track opposition players. Slows our momentum down completely which I realise can be a bonus sometimes but this guy has two speeds, dead slow and stop. At 30 he's not going to learn and get any better and Silva was a close decision.  Both poor buys for the money given their age. I'd sooner take a risk on Maddison or similar.

Even with a huge loss on some of the above (not my money I know), we need a fire sale including any trouble makers, so IF that's includes Schmeichel, then it's bye bye to him too. The money from that lot including what should be a large fee for Marhez alone should be ample to help finance a RB , CB and midfielder.
