Not sure why people are worried about Vardy and Mags. Chances are they will play.

Let's be honest why should Puel tell Jose our best two players will be playing. Surely he's the last person you want to know.

Adama Traore going to Wolves for £26 million is absolutely bonkers

He’s always reminded me of Schlupp or Musa. Absolutely terrible technically but capable of a moment of magic.

Mourinho should've left at the end of last season really.

His reputation is becoming more tainted as each new day passes.

It's at the point now, it seems, that he's frustrated with himself.

Will be fired before end of November

Yeah apparently the £18m release clause is for cash upfront

wolves want to pay by instalments so the fee agreed is £26m instead

I'm not sure I believe this tbh. The transfer fee is amortised no matter whether you pay up front of not. And we're hardly skint and can't pay up front.

Edit - Just seen it's £10m up front, snd the other £10m+ based on appearances. Which is fair enough as that'll push the extra payments into other seasons for the accounts.

P. S. It's apparently nearer £22m.

Good signing that from wolves not sure how they’re going to keep all these players happy

We play two inside forward positions just behind the striker. He'll compete with Jota, Costa, Cavaleiro for those two spots. We needed another one in to give us some proper depth there.

With Adama Traoré, you‘ll most certainly get more out of depth.

Mixed bag from Mahrez. Some moments of class, a couple of times when (unusually for him) his first touch let him down, and a couple of times running into a dead end. Otherwise didn’t really get into the match much. I wonder if his confidence will stand up to getting the roll eyes from Guardiola a few times, we’ll have to see.

Man City manage to be incredibly well organised and technically proficient without being particularly exciting. I hope Liverpool pip them to the title.

It will be interesting to see how he copes with the added scrutiny of playing for a ‘big club’. No more turning up late for training or strolling around in games. As brilliant as he was here we seemed to let him off lightly at times for things that people with less ability wouldn’t have

Completely agree with this. He’ll have to step up again, of that there is no doubt. Pep won’t stand for him not tracking back either.

The apparent brilliance of Guardiola is his ability to have a team full of world stars, yet be able to pacify them as ‘squad players’.

It’s remarkable really. They really do seem to want success for the club and each other.

He’ll have to be hitting close to his 2015-16 form to be good enough for them imo. He’s very capable and has the best manager behind him, down to him to put the hard graft in now

I agree with this.

Frankly there was something wrong about the ease with with the club/fans welcomed him back after his tantrum.

In the latter half of the season he also essentially gave up trying to defend, but no one seemed to care or get on his back.

Because no one wanted to push down his transfer value.

His play did that.

Maybe, maybe not but if everyone had made a big deal of his behaviour following his return it would have gone lower.

Maybe, maybe not. Perhaps he'd have stopped being a little prince and played football puching his price up and getting us a place in the Europa league.
