I still can't get over him going for less than van Dijk.

Depends on your needs. Liverpool were desperate for a top defender man city are no where near as desperate for some attacking flair so will try and buy as cheap as possible.

I wonder if we attempt to give mahrez a longer contract (with a high buyout) to see if he is willing to commit. If not sell him and move on.

I dont think 50 is enough considering we need to replace him and the team we will buy from will want to  fleece 'big Leicester'.  We are only big when buying lol

True that. Suppose we just haven't been as lucky in that regard.

Well, regardless of outcome - I don’t want to see another 120+ page shitshow thread.

Inevitable I'm afraid.

Death, taxes and 100+ pages on Mahrez.

I think that we should have a fine system.  The first person to say 'sweet prince' is fined £20 for charity.

Man City don't want RM to buy their record signing... do they really need him?

They'll be competing on all fronts, Pep's style of play is physically very demanding  and Mahrez is a better footballer than Sterling (who has been on fire last season). If Guardiola can improve his consistency, and I'm sure he can, then yes, they do need him.

They are magpies mate anything that shines they want if only to stop party poppers like us ever getting our grubby hands on a trophy that only should be won"bought" by the so called elite.

I am happy with that personally. It looked unlikely we would get much more, and Roberts shows a lot of potential.

£50m + Roberts or Roberts + whatever to make up the difference to £50m?

I actually have no idea, if its Roberts + 50M i could stomach it but if the deal is overall 50M that's ****ing disgusting.

They have always spoken about money plus Roberts, so adding up to £65ish?

Weren't we offered £60m and Roberts in January and we wanted £80-90m in reddies? Surely bare minimum should be what they offered previously, I know we argued we had no time to replace properly so wanted much more money but this feels too low.
