Anyone take Stones and Roberts for Mahrez?

In a second.

Stones and Maguire would be incredible.

I think it'll be around £60 million and Roberts which I'd probably take.

Hopefully can be done early doors, we could do with that £60m for a new GK, CB and RB.

Like Man City badly need a new wide player.Suppose it keeps the price up though .Surely he wants to go to a European league where he can stroll around for 90 minutes.

I'm torn. I don't want to player here who's constantly looking to leave. But I do want a player here with 13 goals and 10 assists. But Puel does seem to have managerial pull so maybe we can replace him with someone half as good.

Their system means they have 4 players behind a main striker with Fernandinho holding.

There's more than enough room for Mahrez in a team like that that hopes to play about 60 games a season.

You mean why would Man City want a player that?:

1) Is a former PFA POTY

2) A former 7th placed Balon d'Or

3) Only player in the PL who has at least 10 goals and 10 assists in two of the last three years.

Mahrez has 34 goals and 24 assists in the last three seasons.

Hazard who is usually rated at about £150m has 32 goals and 10 assists

In fact you can fire any attacking midfielder at me and Mahrez will have outperformed them over the last three seasons from predominately right midfield in a 4-4-2 in a low possession side.  If he goes Man City we'll soon see if £60m is a bargain and whether they need him or not.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him being hailed as world class and the best player in their team before the season's out.

basically.. ultimately  we are going to be screwed over i think.

I don't think LCFC fans will realise how good he is until he's gone.

The people saying they would be happy with Diabates, Roberts and Gray to replace him when his gone, read the above......

I would be surprised if those three get that between them over the same period.

I'm sure the owners won't be bullied- we'll get a decent fee, but it just seems like his time to move on.

Use the money to bring in an attacking reinforcement or two- Thorgan Hazard would be ideal.

It’s not that he’s not one of the greatest players we’ve ever had. I totally agree with everything you say.

I just think the young players they already have can be developed into very similar freaks of nature without Man City having to spend £60m.

If if he plays anything like he did before Christmas and in our title year, I dread to think the scores Man City will put up.

Sterling went there for nearly 50 million 3 years ago! We should be looking for at least 70 million

In all fairness Sterling was about 12 when they bought him.

Makes perfect sense, Sane, Sterling and Mahrez play 35/40 games each on rotation, less injuries and fresher, especially for CL later rounds where arguably they weren’t at their best against Liverpool in the first leg and showed signs of fatigue. Plus Mahrez is also much more capable of breaking down teams in tight space than Bernardo Silva.
