Not a good sign if someone as young as he is has a dodgy hamstring.

It was a specific injury, he was out for a few months, back in March and played every game since then - hardly call it a "dodgy hamstring".

£50m plus Roberts is about right in my opinion. I agree that if you look at a few other fees it’s a little lower than some but we come out of this looking pretty poor if we don’t let him go to a bid like that.

I don't give a flying one what we look like, he should only leave for what we consider him to be worth.

I'd hoped we would have offered him 200K a week to extend his contract and put a buyout clause of £100m in it.

The thing is we will use the 50m to 'Replace' Riyad. The player buys us added time to find the right solution though and can be used in a variety of positions.

Yes, I know that but I'd prefer £70-80m up front to replace him and other areas.

The problem is nobody would pay it and he knows that so would never sign it.

He definitely hasn't.

Hamstring issues know no age. They aren't permanent injuries, though - can definitely be managed and kept healthy.

If hazard is worth £100m ......

So make it £90m or whatever it realistically takes to make him sign.

He would never sign it. He wants to go, the circus has lasted long enough.

It gives us plenty of time to work on our own signings, but £50m + some kid who had a good season in a pub league isn't a good deal for us- I would have wanted £70m to bring in a proper replacement and a quality number 10.

£50m will get us one of those with change as long as we spend wisely, but we've already got Diabate, Gray and Albrighton as wingers in the 'certainly not the first name on the teamsheet' category. Is Roberts any better than them?

Roberts has the same agents as Adrien Silva so it's nice to see they still want to do business with us lollollol

In a transfer window where its crucial that we get in the right players of the right quality that's exactly the sort of attitude that would see the kind of up and coming talent turn us down.

But Hazard is a better player than Mahrez and also plays for Chelsea, whilst this isn't fair, it does increase the price.

Seems pointless really as we don't need him, surely we'd have to go out and get another top class winger to replace Mahrez. So we'd mostly end up with 3 wingers kicking their heels.

Yep! Our scouts went to the cup final at the weekend vs Motherwell in the hope he'd play but he didn't get any time at all on the pitch lol

All these people saying he's worth this he's worth that.

If he was worth more, we'd be having bids in from more than 1 team.

That's not how it works.

He has been available for selection is what I meant, may not have started.

I just think we want it sorted, if that means taking a lower offer than we want so be it. We don't want to be pissing about when he comes back to training.

Not sure about Roberts, just another potential player for us. Unless we're expecting a good bid for Gray we are going to struggle to keep 3 youngsters happy. Can Roberts play as number 10?

I'd assume Roberts coming in means the end for Barnes.

if club gets roberts,it means they have 3 young wingers and none of them is solid enough to be starter for pl team

so no thanks

What if Roberts is a replacement for Gray and we are still after a replacement for Riyad?

Unless we're planning on moving Gray on.

I think if Roberts comes in then we'll look to bring in a much more gifted right footed winger to play on the opposite side and you might be right in Gray being moved on. I don't see us having Diabate, Roberts and then another Mahrez replacement all vying for that right sided role. That's why if we get Roberts I think we'll go big guns for Elyounoussi who is a very strong attacker that plays left or right but would work best as an inverted winger on the left.
