The good feeling started to crumble pretty quickly when we failed to win any of the Summer games v PSG, Celtic, Barca, made  a clots of transfer signings and then got beat in the opening game against newly promoted Hull who had a couple of parking attendants on their subs bench ?

I couldn’t watch it... I couldn’t bare to as it was difficult enough watching our own games...

im guessing I’m pretty much in my own with this one!

It was impossible and never going to happen in the first place. People are of that opinion again so why can’t it happen again? It might not be Leicester. But some one similar. And I’m not counting wolves winning it with mega money and a super agent if that ever happened. The way Man City and Chelsea have done it could be achieved by Oxford United with that kind of money

What a night. As if winning the title wasn't sweet enough, we got to watch those North London cockwombles go into total meltdown as we did it. We obviously peaked as a club and we're still on the comedown, but those memories will live forever.

Late December back in 63?

Won't happen again but it doesn't need to either. The feelings just wouldn't be the same if we did it again - we've literally hit the peak of football fan experience.

A few more forays into Europe, an FA Cup and we've completed English football.

The financial restrictions now applying in the prem means that an Oxford would take many years to get to a position where they could afford a squad ale to challenge. European FFP 2 will also keep the big boys at the top table, unchallenged

At the moment, it feels like much longer than just two years ago, but what an impact it had towards the club.

I know it’s been said a million times,  but quite simply the best game of football I’ve ever watched. I simply do not possess the words to do justice to how much I enjoyed that match.

Unbelievable remarkable achievement...My abiding memory of that night was the global impact this had....within 5 mins of the match at the bridge finishing I had got messages of congrats from friends in Japan, Dubai , Canada the USA  ...We really were WORLD famous ??

I don't care what any Forest fan living in the past says, this is THE greatest achievement in English football history. Context is everything, and winning the Premier League in this era was unthinkable.

They got promoted from the second tier, then won the top flight the next season before winning the European Cup in both of the next two.

Even taking into account the context of football then and now, I think what they did in that 3-4 year period was more of an amazing achievement.

That said, I would argue that going from Division 3 to top flight champions in 8 years - and from second tier champions to PL winners in 2 years - in the modern era is a better achievement than them just winning the domestic title in that era.

To be honest, what they did and what we did were both pretty amazing.

Comparisons don't mean that much really in the grand scheme of things.

Never thought I'd see and what made it even better for me is that I never imagined I would see it- winning the league was never an option, just wanted us to be competing well in the Premier League, pushing for Europe and having good cup runs.

To witness it was something else and I don't think will be repeated. Even winning it again wouldn't feel the same.

The odd thing was we looked very good right from the off .I think first game was Sunderland at home easy 3 1 win then I think a 2-1 somewhere and a 2-2 draw.

Just cruising really goals easy to come by and defending narrow and deep week in week out quick transition to the front ,noone took us seriously until Man City away and I think football world woke up . Great effort all round.
