Done Deals

Recommended Posts

After months and months of speculation and ridiculous price tags, Riyad Mahrez finally left Leicester City and signed for Manchester City, where he’ll be playing under Pep Guardiola next season.

The deal was said to be closed around the £60m mark, and was done relatively early, allowing the Foxes plenty of time to strengthen their team accordingly for the new season.

However, they won’t be receiving all of that money, as Paris-Normandie in France report that Le Havre, the club they bought Mahrez from, are entitled to 15% of the transfer fee, meaning they will receive just over €10m.

For a club currently in Ligue 2, the French second-tier, that is a huge sum, especially since they sold him for just €500k in the first place back in 2014.

 we resisted long enough, mahrez got mardy and we probably decided to sell before he lost any more value.

Throughout this whole saga though, the only offers we had were derisory from 2 clubs???

Manager Frankie Bunn has strengthened his squad with the signing of goalkeeper Daniel Iversen on loan from Leicester City.

The 21-year-old has signed on a season long loan from the Foxes.

Iversen is a goalkeeper who has featured many times for Leicester City’s development side and was the number one for their U23 Premier League 2 title challenge last season.

The Dane who has represented his country at U21 level has been on trial at Oldham Athletic and featured in the 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest, making a number of impressive saves as well as keeping a clean sheet against La Liga side Girona in Latics' 0-1 win.

He will wear the number one shirt during his time at the club.

Welcome to Oldham Athletic, Daniel!
