CarbonVirtine Posted 13 June 2018 Posted 13 June 2018 I prefer him going on loan rather than being sold. I reckon he must have something, we just can't have gotten it that wrong!

lcfc sheff Posted 13 June 2018 Posted 13 June 2018 He'd do well at a lower prem club, but we aren't suited to him or any other striker bar Vardy.
Stadt Posted 13 June 2018 Posted 13 June 2018 The greatest trick the devil ever pulled off was convincing Leicester fans that the potential is there and he deserves another go in the premier league despite an overwhelming amount of evidence to the contrary. 2

Get a decent offer for him then maybe I'd say something else but at the moment I think it's worth him being a) off the payroll and b) playing. There might just be a player in there somewhere but we're not going to find out unless he's playing regularly. 1

Well indeed. I see that POV but it's actually the 'evidence to the contrary' that's making me think the way I do. As I said, we can't have gotten it that wrong! I think it's worth another season to see if he has something. After all , we'd get sod all for him so it's worth a punt!

CSKA knew exactly what Musa could do but wanted him on loan and apparently aren't buying him. Galatasaray are looking at doing the same thing and by the end of his loan there he'll have another year on his contract. Get rid of him to the best offer, we've seen exactly what he can do. He's a highlights player who will be terrible for four games and do something great in the fifth game. I've seen his touch and weight of pass and that's not confidence it just means he's a poor player at our level. Sell him and move on, he's done here at Leicester. The only loan I would consider is the one were the sale is mandatory after the initial loan. 1 1

I don't think he's that bad but I don't think he's good either
Stadt Posted 13 June 2018 Posted 13 June 2018 He’s hardly prolific in Russia. If he started every game up front for Brighton, as an example, he’d struggle to get 10 goals. Not a horrific return but absolutely not good enough for us and we’d be silly to persist. Cut our losses and get a fee for him whilst we still can to get his wages off the books. 2

The problem is his wages, those clubs in leagues that he will be good in can only afford either his transfer fee or his wages but not both. They know we're desperate to get his wages off the books as we're not playing him, so really all we can hope for is that the loan fees + covered proportion of wages leave us less out of pocket than we otherwise would have been.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 13 June 2018 Posted 13 June 2018 I really want him to turn it around but I think that's more based on his social media presence
norwichfox Posted 14 June 2018 Posted 14 June 2018 I'd just like to see him moved along, NO LOAN DEAL and off of our wages bill, recoup what we can of the transfer fee (virtually nothing I'd imagine as he's probably on a pay level that won't suit Galatasary or CSKA). We'll be having to accept a big loss for sure. 1

As much as it's important to bring players in, I would say shifting a load out is equally important in this window

They are unlikely to pay the transfer fee though, unless it's a real cut price deal. 1

Wolfboy Posted 14 June 2018 Posted 14 June 2018 Would much prefer we sell and trying and recoup some of the £16 million, I just hope we haven’t spent £16mill on someone we’re just going to send out on loan. He’s in the prime of his career so I doubt he’ll improve much. The other alternative is that we should keep him for one season and give him a chance because he can be a really effective player. If he is consistently putting in poor performances for us then we should sell him.
mozartfox Posted 14 June 2018 Posted 14 June 2018 The scouting Team have a lot to answer for, they really do.
