If you look at it he is in a similar position to Shaquiri a few years ago. Ended up rotting in reserves of “giants” but then Stoke came along and resurected his career, Gotze would probably be wise to join us.... having said that, it’s probably bollocks!

Think the issue is more to do with this medical issue he has.

'The illness means his body cannot properly process fats, proteins, sugars or nucleic acids.'

Suggestions are that his drop in form over past couple of years is due to that and so not sure if it's something he will be able to properly recover from. Looks like it may have contributed to weight gain and drop in fitness too perhaps? Not sure about that, but it does cast doubts over a signing like this and I'm also suspicious why Dortmund would want to sell him if he was over all his health issues - as if he is, then he still has potential to be an amazing player for them.

Yeh i found it funny that some were saying hes not good enough for Liverpool but too good for us. So whos in between us and Liverpool? Spurs and Arsenal maybe? With the money we have and the wages we can dish out, we can and should be looking at a higher calibre of player. Some of our fans will only be happy when we are being linked with bang average players. Yes we have to be realistic but i wouldn't say Gotze is massively unrealistic. Being linked with Messi, Ronaldo, Hazard, De Bruyne etc would be unrealistic.

Nein. Not a chance he will come here. He’s already said in the media that he’d like to link up with Klopp again, not sure how he’d get on there though.

Oh, I don't know about that Katy.....

Yeh I'm pretty sure he won't have heard of the team that completed one of the greatest sporting achievements in the history of football.

Pretty sure if any of us had this debilitating illness and 100K a week, would be a bit of a porker as well.
