I dont discount theyve made some good signings (and some bad ones) but this just doesnt light my footy fire lol.

If we sign him and another well established player then im fine with it as i understand  diamond in the rough type signings.  Butttt he cant be the last signing surely ..pleaseeeee.lol

None of these were signed in the post Steve Walsh era except Maguire.

I agree I'm not blown away by the signing but it might be part of a wider plan .let's not forget where we came from, we are a project not the finished article by a long stretch.

Just saying that we can't credit our recruitment team for any of those signings that you mentioned except Maguire.

We've also signed N'didi who was a gem but the list of failures and ho hum signings like Iborra, Hernandez, Zieler and Amartey, the Silva debacle etc is far too long to put such fulsome trust in our mob that you seem to.

They make a lot of mistakes.  Ghezzai looks like another one.

Maybe not...

Not that fair really, Mendy has been injured and benaluane had done his job as back up centre back quite well. Musa and slimani were unable to shift Vardy but it wasn't bad back up to have though.

Unfair?

You're right.  You've talked me round.  £67 million pounds well spent!   lol

I can agree with that. Guess we shall see how this pans out. I just hope if we do sign its a 1 to 2 year max. No need to be giving projects long contracts.  Its a tradeoff i suppose

This is my problem with it:

A free transfer that is suddenly worth £14m after failing at Monaco.  If he can't cut it in Ligue One, why would we think he will make an impact in the premier league?

If he is signed as squad back up, is he any better than Diabate and Gray?  Remains to be seen but on the face of it I would say no, so why sign another that limits the development and chances of the players we do have.  We should be trimming our 30+ man squad and only adding players that are an obvious step up in quality.

An unnecessary and expensive risk.

Amartey is quality mate. That lad will end up at a bigger club than ours eventually.

When's he gonna be announced ffs?! Why are we ineptly slow at everything???...

Ineptly slow, or prudent in waiting till all the finer details have been agreed and confirmed before announcing any signing?

The people who post "ANNOUNCE ____" on every post a club makes are some of the most infuriating people. Also the reason there's less interaction from pros to fans as they turn off notifications etc due to all the sh1t like that
