I cannot believe we paid 14 euro for a guy who at his very best is low league or championship standard, the French fans say if has been poor to average this last season or two.

I think Puel is making LCFC into laughing stock!

A Riyad Mahrez replacement he is NOT.

Think we've just managed to get rid of one Musa only to buy an even worse one! Would far sooner have just stuck with what we've got! Another bloody Algerian as well, does that we're going to get bombarded by that loony hero  worshipping player fan brigade back on here? (Apologies to the decent proper Algerian football supporters who, from meeting a few are decent and know their stuff).

For 14 euros he’d be an absolute bargain tbf - that’s £12.47. Could get a portion of chips as well and still get change from £15. Gerrimin

At 14 Euro, you can't do much wrong. Gerrimin!

Bit underwhelming but all of our best signings have been... Seems quite a lot for someone that Monaco are seemingly happy to offload. Monaco had been a bit spoiled for talent the season before as they had a great squad so expectations of standards on players would have probably been very high especially having been semis in the champions league the year before.  We won't get another Mahrez, unfortunately for him there are so many similarities (position/Algerian) he will no doubt be compared to Mahrez, boots it would be a miracle if he even came close to filling. Have to hope that we can add goals and assists throughout the side to try and offset those lost by him going. Seems this is a done deal so let's hope for the best.

How do we know its Puel? Doubt he asked for an average wingers.

Seems every window we sign players the manager doesnt even want.

We are lucky to have signed pereira and maddison, I wouldnt say they make us a laughing stock.

Please tell me these reports of 14m euros are rubbish.  Another player we'll struggle to ship off our books in a year's time.

It’s not your 14m Is it? Top, is that you?

Is "pie in the sky".........!?.... could that mean.............. Depay? OM badge's blue is sky blue!

"What's that I see?" is said to be invented by an Italian immigrant named "Jimmy Garoppolo" in the late-1900's when he was one of Missouri's sharifs chasing after a well-known bandit called "Jimbo the bandit"!

"What does that have to do with Depay" you ask? Well, the guy was known to be "very open-minded" in his use of hallucination-inducing substances and was the first person ever to overdose on weed and It happened to be in...........Memphis!

€14m = £12.3m

Palace paid £12.5m for Schlupp, a guy so bad he became a comedy figure on FT and was treated with disrespect and ridicule.

£10-12m is the going rate for Ghezzal types - basically average to above average players. But unlike Musa and Schlupp, Ghezzal can at least control a football and pass it.

That's all fine and dandy.

Ghezzal, however, isn't worth £12.5m. The last reasonable amount we all read about was less than half of that, almost just a third, actually.

Why players suddenly cost more when Premier League clubs are in the loop will probably remain a mystery forever.

Also, as seen with other signings that we've made in the past, once the players struggle, the clubs struggles to offload them big-time. You can only hope to sell them within the Premier League, otherwise, you're looking at a (massive) loss. It's crazy. Absolutely crazy. And not healthy in the long run.

That's my biggest worry whenever we make signings in double figures pound sterling. But I guess it goes with the territory of playing in a wealthy league and paying big wages to average players.
