I agree. I am questioning why you would prefer to go to Ibiza or play in the Premier League.

Yes it will be written into agreements, but surely who would want to be sitting at home watching the game on TV, when you had the chance not to go on holiday and actually play in the match.

I would give up three weeks holiday anywhere at any cost to be able to play in the Man U game

Who says they won't feature at all against Manchester United? Both players will be back in training comes Monday.

The amount of fear-mongering and artificial mass panicking in this thread is truly staggering. One could think Armaggeddon is about to take place.

Club legally have to give them so much time off every year - it's in their contracts.

I doubt any of you would give your holiday back to a company out of good will. I wouldn't that's for sure.

It's funny how the whingers, whinging about players actually getting a rest are usually the same ones who would be whinging about injuries if they picked one up, or moaned about them looking jaded half way through the season.

Not read any Nostradamus lately, but I'm pretty sure he said that a Wes/Benny CB partnership at Old Trafford would be one of the signs of an impending Apocalypse.

Vardy will need to be tied down not to play against United. Maguire will not Allow his heart to rule his head and will do what he thinks is right. Puel is doing nothing wrong on this occasion.

This isn’t the same as a job in the office though is it.

So they go to the World Cup, then decide to go on a holiday rather than prepare and play v Manchester United at Old Trafford.

What normal person would prefer to go to Ibiza or wherever they go rather than play in the Premier League.

Its not as if they didn’t have a holiday, Maguire was in Greece before the World Cup.

If that was me, I’d be back in Leicester, settling back down and wanting to test myself against Man a United.

I know the Man U players are doing the same, but I just think this is very wrong.

I'd prefer them to not train and just play, less chance of Puel taking away their natural ability. Return next Thursday, take bodies Friday.

They aren't that bad, they just have a **** up in them. They are the sort of players than can have a blinder for a few games... or kick the ball in their own net and karate kick someone and get a red card.

Sorry, I'm too distracted by my focus on Francis Bacon paintings instead.

We're doomed!

It's a job at the end of the day. Everyone needs a break.

I think it's all a bit shambolic how much a WC year affects national leagues.

Your club pays your wages, and if I'm honest, we NEED the best result possible against united, nobody wants to start the season with a drumming. I'd have wanted them back last week to be honest, fit and ready for MU.

Are they back in training yet?

For me this is the question.

I thought they were due back this coming Monday? Their fitness should be fine, they've been training with England, and they've had their 3 week break. So, it wouldn't be a case of them being burnt out if they play against Man U. We can't begrudge them a holiday, but if they are back in training, then they are available to play.

Maybe Puel wants more time with them regarding tactics etc. but that shouldn't prevent them from playing, especially if the other options are Benny and Slimani.

and i just think it takes the piss if Man Utd has all their French Belgium and English players back.

They won't. As well as any team who had quarter finalists at the WC. T

I completely understand them having time off, if it were me though, I imagine playing at Old Trafford in a Premier League game would be quite special and doesn't happen that often. I'd cut my holiday short to play there.

That's the spirit! Foxes never quit.

Eh, reading back that sounds a lot more defeatist than I intended haha.

I simply meant that as we're away at Man Utd, even with them in the side we'd be the underdogs and we'd be going there without any expectation of winning.

Maybe they are chomping at the bit to play at Old Trafford who knows? its not as if they are both ego superstars who have been at the top of their game since 17 years old. They have both came up through the ranks of lower league so imagine they dont want to miss an opening game like this.

The thing is, though, it ISN'T you, it isn't any of us, we don't do this for a living, and we have absolutely no idea what it must be like physically and mentally, as well as emotionally.

They also have no idea on what its like to be a Leicester fan,  they have absolutely no idea what it is like physically and mentally, as well as emotionally.

I think this is the issue isn't it? Entitled fans, stamping their feet at the slightest thing.

Totally agree.  It’s 90% mental in match circumstances (compared to the other players that is).  Look at the difference of watching them in training or warm ups vs in game situation and it’s often night and day.  Even Simpson can do tricks in training but often he looks like he can’t make a 5 yd pass in a game
