Helicopter crash

All this talk of a club legend statue in the car park, it’s a tragedy that should the worst be confirmed that these are the circumstances that will probably be prompting it now. 

 

When I wake tomorrow morning I’ll be asking myself if this really happened and be praying it was a nightmare.

Leyton Orient fan here, sat infront of my keyboard for a while trying to find the right words. I spent three years in Leicester for university a decade ago (hence the old forum name); it's a city that forever holds a special place in my heart. Genuinely have my thoughts and prayers directed to everyone involved in the crash and their loved ones. but also with everyone involved in the club in general. This has made me feel a little bit sick.

Sheffield Wednesday fan here. Your team restored my faith and love in football when you won the title and I still have a soft spot for you today, especially as Jamie Vardy is a fellow Owl (still can’t get my head around us releasing him).

 

Like you SWFC have a Thai owner and he’s been an amazing acquisition for us. The Thai people have an extraordinary sense of loyalty and our Chairman is like that with SWFC, just as yours is with LCFC. Our Chairman has quickly become one of our own.

 

I’m still trying to comprehend what has happened tonight and my thoughts and prayers are with everyone at LCFC. As football fans we all have our rivalries but we are also human beings, and when something like this happens those rivalries go out of the window and we come together as one.

 

I’m shocked, saddened and upset at what has happened tonight and just wanted to let all you LCFC supporters know that my heart goes out to every single one of you.

My heart shattered into my sniking stomach when I read that the helicopter had crashed I hope that everyone in the crew and the surrounding area is ok.

 

He made our dreams come true.

There is audio of the crash. A different video to the one you refer to. I won’t post it for obvious reasons but it does exist.

Couldn't follow the match today, busy working until the evening, then have a quiet night at home, only to see this newsflash pop up on my screen.

Unbelievable. Hard to put into words what I'm feeling right now, it's a mixture of grief and disbelief. It's just so out of the ordinary, so odd.

 

Thoughts and prayers with the families of the people that died in the crash. Waiting, fearing for the worst. 

 

And a massive thanks to all other football fans with their messages of support in these dark hours for LCFC. You're amazing.

I would be surprised if they didn’t have sound and I hope it never sees the light of day but I wouldn’t be surprised if Bt have the entire incident on film as well

I think it would be fitting if everyone got a shirt with that on the back and wore it to every remaining home game this season. They owe us nothing - we owe them everything as a club and as supporters.

This is so sad and heartbreaking. For whoever’s involved. Speculation that our owner was on board but obviously we need to wait until statements are released. It’s a long shot but hoping people have got out from there safe. This goes beyond football. These are human beings that have loved ones and their own lives ahead of them. Let’s just hope we wake up to some sort of positive news.

there is a bang 4 seconds in, I think it was still in the air, as you could hear humming as well.  After the bang the ground staff start moving around, and quickly they start running.  :((

 

So in my view at the start of this clip it had not yet crashed.  Which is why BT sport I think did carry on after the break.

 

By 20 seconds the humming has stopped.
