Let’s hope that this is respected. Let’s also ensure, although the focus will understandably fall upon Vichai, that the other victims of this tragedy are remembered also. They died because they watched our club play football.

Vichai was the man who helped deliver the ultimate dream to all us Leicester fans. But he also had a long term vision for our great club. Now we must stand together and for the short term at least forget our differences and support each other through the difficult days that lie ahead. We must unite behind the team who will need our support as we do theirs at this terrible moment in the club's history.

The coming together at the ground and on message boards such as this show that together we can achieve the vision he has for our club. Our of the bad times can come the good, out of the deepest depths of sorrow can spring the seeds of joy. Yes it will take time and none of us will ever forget him but together we can help take our club forward to achieve his aims and ambitions.

Thank you Vichai for all you have done for us and may your faimily find the peace it deserves.

Waited for confirmation of any news before i posted. Heart felt condolences from everybody at Wolves. Footballs all about rivalry and who gets the bragging rights on a Saturday afternoon,but its also a community and its at times like these that the community forgets rivalry and pulls together. We are all as one in times of sadness and despair.

You never thought that death of the owner of a football club would get to you; and then you remember being in America on your birthday, hearing that your team has done something that you could only have imagined in your wildest dreams, seeing them all over the TV and having people you've never met shouting congratulations.

 

Vichai gave me a memory that will last a lifetime and which makes me smile with disbelief every time I think of it. I'm not sure that anyone else has done the same! Thank you, sir.

I’m a New England Revolution fan. Lonely American in a region dominated by the Patriots. We don’t ever win but i love going to games and thinking of what we might be. 

I watch the premier league and see teams dominate it due to their position and power. Then your team came along...5000-1 and you won it the biggest prize in world club football ( my opinion). Watching your fans react to that win and then reading your history gave fans like me hope. Maybe my team will do a Leicester ? 

As much as Vardy, Mahrez, Kante, Claudio might have won you that title there is one man that made it happen. 

Rip to him, his daughter and everyone else who died last night. Fairytales shouldn’t end like this so make sure this isn’t the end Leicester!

You know, I haven posted on here for years. But I’m compelled to tonight and I have no idea what to say.

 

I have never felt such a loss for somebody I have never met, only seen in passing or from afar.

 

They say the measure of a man is not what he says, it’s what he does.

 

Vichai, you came from nowhere - we were sceptical, we weren’t sure but slowly and surely you took us to heights that we would have laughed at had you told us what was going to happen in advance.

 

Then.

 

You donated MILLIONS to help our children. Invested in grassroots football, bought the stadium, raised millions more for our local charities... you even got the drinks in for your birthday.

 

We’ll never know why you chose us, but we are grateful for the time you spent with us and you will never be forgotten.

 

When you smiled with us, the whole world smiled too. May you rest in peace.

Really sorry for your loss.

 

Reading some of the messages, and listening to your fans comments on national TV, clearly this was a remarkable man. Quite apart from bringing your football club success and supporting local charities the bond that he was able to create with you the fans is unique. The impression I get is of an unbelievably wealthy and successful businessman yet with the humility and personal touch of a “normal” fan if you know what I mean. A terrible loss, for his family, his football club and humanity.
