Heart breaking. When I headed home last night I saw blue lights in my mirror going towards the ground. Didn't think much of it until I got back in Syston and received a call telling me of the crash. I just stood in the supermarket shocked desperately looking on my phone for a glimmer of hope. 

 

Since then I've been broken, I wouldn't consider myself emotional, but this as hit me hard.

 

Minutes silences at the kids football matches this morning, the support of fellow fans from Leicester and countless other clubs, stories of the good that Vichai did for the club and community, minutes silences at other matches this afternoon, Wembley lit up in our blue and white, Kasper. 

 

Early this evening I went down to the kp to lay some flowers with my family.  As we approached I really struggled to hold myself together to see all the shirts, scarves and flags honoured with a respectful quiet. I don't know why but everytime the gentle breeze blew and rustled the flowers, balloons and flags it brought tears to my eyes. But I'm glad I went down to spend time to pay our respect and reflect upon the great man and what he meant to us.  And in turn this offered me some solace. My thoughts are with all those on board and their families. We'll miss you Vichai.

It looks like there were all alive when its crashed, but the fire caused the fatal blow, reading the story, that the police officers try to save them all. This will haunt me for years and along with others. It's hard to take it in. Life is so cruel.

Our owners gave us the platform to complete the greatest sporting miracle in history. All of our lives were deeply touched and enriched by them. 
Vichai also gave an immense amount to the city and its people in many other ways. He asked for nothing from us but gave us the world in return, it was the measure of the man. 
From League One to Premier League Champions.
Leicester fans the world over disagree on managers, tactics, formations and players but one thing we all whole heartedly agreed on, we had the very best of owners. 
Vichai took the city, community and fans to his heart and became part of the Leicester family. We mourn with your family. Overwhelming sadness that the place of our greatest triumph becomes the place of the greatest tragedy.  Rest In Peace ?

Liverpool Football Club owners John W Henry, Tom Werner and Mike Gordon have issued a statement following the tragic incident that occurred at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.
“It is with great sadness that we today offer our heartfelt sympathies to Leicester City after confirmation their owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has tragically passed away.
“Our thoughts and condolences are extended to the families and loved ones of all those lost in this dreadful accident.
“The admiration we have for Vichai, his family and colleagues is as high as you can imagine, both professionally and personally.
“He was the ultimate custodian for the club he bought and then gracefully served. The Premier League title win, one of world football’s all-time great stories, is of course the standout achievement. But beyond that, he led his club in a manner which all of us in this privileged position aspire to. Success on the pitch, allied with outstanding governance off it.
“Vichai is a great loss not just to his club but to the Premier League and English football as a whole.

Hi all, wish I didn't need to do this. 

 

Hadn't noticed anything from Spurs and felt someone on our behalf should offer support and condolences too. Football has pretty much turned me off in recent years because of the monpoloisation of the Premier League in great part, but there will always be a little "what if?" because of what Leicester City did in 2016, which as we all know was so ably assisted by Vichai and his family. What made his contribution different from the new type of football ownership that has, in my opinion, ruined the game was the contribution he made elsewhere, particularly funding hospitals and investing in the local community. It is well recognised that Thai people are people of honour and endeavour and he epitomised this. 

 

Strangely, surreally, we found ourselves on the wrong end of your title challenge in 2016, and what an incredible few months that was- I'm sure there were some bad losers on our part but I for one bore you no malice, and recognised the (IMO) greatest sporting achievement of all time. It irks me when we are mocked for "blew our big chance, missing out to Leicester" that year - we went at it like a train and there was no stopping you! 

 

Alas, I guess in years to come, looking back on that year will now always have a pang of pain but let's ensure that we still allow ourselves to smile at what was achieved. Death in whatever form, is sadly inevitable, the best any of us can do is to try and leave some kind of positive legacy. Vichai and his team (I regret I am not familiar with the two members of his team who died with him but I include them in this) are among those great human beings who achieved that amazing goal (on and off the pitch) which will be eternal, and this should bring great comfort. 

 

Finally, as already stated elsewhere, great respect to the crew members who died and showed such bravery to avert greater catastrophe. I hope you are rewarded on the other side. 

 

RIP to all concerned, and wishing you all great strength through this testing time. I look forward to the time when rivalries recommence in earnest, in the knowledge that Vichai would not want that to stop, but that it will be done in a respectful manner by every team across the country, save for the usual 90 minutes of outrageous, primal partisan behaviour we all commit to ?. 

 

Things won't be quite the same again, but there will be more good times ahead, and there will be after we are all gone. The great thing is with Vichai and his team is that his influence will exceed his time physically at the club, and very few of us will achieve that.

We all knew what a kind and generous man he was,but this chokes me when I see posts from other clubs supporters who have taken the time to register and post some absolute heartfelt sincere messages to a club that in reality means nothing to them.

How lucky were we to have this man at the helm and the emotional effect of this horrific tragedy just goes to show how much WE cared.

Thoughts go to every single person effected by this,staff,players and friends,but let’s spare a thought and reflect on  everyone else who was lost in this tragedy.My thoughts extend to their families too ,although not as well known as Vichai,we have to remember they too have lost loved ones.

Incredibly sad news. Thoughts are with everyone connected at Leicester and the Vichai family at the moment. 

 

I knew from following Leicester that Vichai had been a good owner, but I hadn't realised just how much he'd done for the club and surrounding areas as a whole. His memory and legacy will be timeless.

 

This is the darkest day in your clubs history and the whole of the footballing community stands with you.

It hadn't really sunk in yet until this morning. Everything felt numb yesterday and motivation for everything just went out the window, but it wasn't until this morning, sat at my desk at work reading all the tributes from other fans and clubs, that it's really hit me. I'm not normally the outwardly emotional type, but I'm sat here struggling to fight back tears. Vichai has done so, so much for our club, our city, and it really feels like a member of the family has been lost this past weekend. Absolutely gut-wrenching.

 

RIP to all five on board. Our thoughts are with all your loved ones. x
