Haven't yet had the chance to comment on this horrific incident that has put the city in a state of mourning and shock.

He was an influential part to our success , and my prayers go out to all the people effected by this, not forgetting the pilots involved as well.

Going up to the spirit in the sky ,

Its where we're gonna go with our Thai,

When i die and they lay me to rest
Gonna go to the place that's the best

I know it's meant well but it might be seen as a little inappropriate since the man himself followed a very different belief system.

So proud to be Leicester, it is hard being an exile at times like this - I was there last night and this morning and am still in shock.

Vichai will be remembered for the good he did for our City in so many ways. Our lives  have been richer in so many ways over the last few years. Vichai was the architect. Claudio worked his magic. Whatever happens next we have a barrow load of happy memories and Vichai’s memorials are the medical research where good will ripple through the years, hospital buildings, his generosity and the happy happy memories. Through Vichai the ‘whole world smiled with you’ with each of us

You are right, but I am sure that the spirit of the message  will be appreciated, despite different belief systems.

When you're young, life can often be great. Brilliant. May 2016. Perfect even.

But as you get older, loved ones die. Grandparents. Parents. Brothers. Sisters. Children. Friends.

Death is a part of life.  The grief is hard to bear, but in time you deal with it. You never "get over it". it just becomes part of you.  A sadness is always there, but it doesn't need to define your life.

Winning the League was the best feeling ever. Brilliant.  Fantastic. But not perfect, as there were loved ones who weren't there to share that day with me.  So maybe 99% perfect.  I carry around a sadness in my heart, but it doesn't stop me loving life.

After yesterday, there will forever be a sadness associated with our glorious day.  The pictures of Vichai happy and smiling on that glorious day in May 2016, will remind us of a terrible tragedy in Oct 2018.

But it won't define that day or our memories of it.  And it won't define how we loved what he did for us.  We must, and will remember the good times.  Forever.

Here's to Vichai.  Thanks for everything.

Four times today I’ve got to tears. I look at objects from our title winning season and the European tour, I tear up. I look at even things like the Foxes and Fossils book and think it’s history changed, I tear up.

I don’t know whether tomorrow will be any easier doing eight hours of work

I'm Thai and that sounds good to me, but thank you for bringing this up, we Thais can be so easily offended at times.

The kind words from other clubs’ supporters are very heartwarming and most welcome.

Seemed from afar as a very private and generous man, highly respected by all. I don’t recall hearing a bad word said about him here or anywhere else.

They always say the day after is more difficult. But I wanted to thank everyone on here, you are all an incredible bunch of people, and you all need to know that whatever is on your mind to share it, because we stick together, we’re one.

Foxes quite simply, never quit.

Five people are believed to have died when a helicopter crashed outside the King Power Stadium yesterday evening (Saturday 27 October).

The five people were on board the helicopter when the incident happened. While formal identification has not yet taken place, they are believed to be Leicester City Football Club chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, two members of his staff, Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, pilot Eric Swaffer and passenger Izabela Roza Lechowicz.

The force has been working to ensure that all the relevant next of kin had been informed prior to this information being confirmed publicly.

The aircraft came down in a car park near the stadium shortly after 8.30pm with Leicestershire Police, East Midlands Ambulance Service and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service all responding to the incident.

No one else is believed to have been injured.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) is leading the investigation into the accident and a cordon remains in place at the scene while enquiries continue.

Leicestershire Police will be supporting the AAIB in its investigation, liaising closely with Leicester City Football Club as enquiries continue.

Superintendent Steve Potter said: “This is an incredibly tragic incident in which five people are understood have lost their lives.

“Emergency services were immediately on scene when the crash happened, working to put out the fire and gain access to the helicopter in attempts to reach those inside. Despite those efforts, there were no survivors.

“The AAIB is now leading an investigation to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the crash and investigators will remain at the scene to complete their initial enquiries. It is likely to take several days to fully complete the necessary work and to safely deal with the scene of this tragic accident, during that time we ask that both the media and public resist speculating around the cause of the crash.

“We appreciate that both the public and media were keen to be updated on the circumstances and to confirm if those on board the helicopter had survived, but before any detail could be issued publicly, it was vital that all immediate next of kin were informed of the tragic outcome. As our communities will understand, this was a matter that needed to be handled sensitively and with dignity, with the families of the deceased being at the heart of our response, which involved other agencies.

“Our thoughts today are with the families of those who have sadly died, with Leicester City Football Club, and with both football supporters and the wider local community who have all been impacted by the events of last night and the news that those on board the aircraft have not survived.”

The AAIB and Leicestershire Police are asking that anyone who witnessed the crash to call 101 quoting incident number 546 of 28 October 2018.

  • The families of Eric Swaffer and Izabela Roza Lechowicz ask that they are left alone to grieve privately at this very difficult time and they are not approached by the media

Incredibly sad, especially for the loved ones of those who have died.

Stunning how quickly something like this happens. I was watching the game and having beers with my Dad on Saturday evening, shouting at the TV and then an hour later this happens. It's been a totally surreal few years.

The man who made the impossible possible.

I heard a bloke say at the ground today that "it was like losing a relative".  Sums it up, he was part of our family.

God bless you Vichai and thanks for the memories x
