Guest MattP Posted 30 December 2018 Posted 30 December 2018 Don't like it and never do it, football fans get frustrated though. I'm far more annoyed at how moronic the fan base is tbh, the bloke behind me booed Kante and Mahrez on their return yet cheered Sol Bamba to the rafters. Completely mental when you compare what they did for the club.
TonyN11 Posted 30 December 2018 Posted 30 December 2018 Chilwell appears confident and capable at taking penalties, at least the handful I've seen either for us or England U21s
Matt_Lcfc Posted 30 December 2018 Posted 30 December 2018 Outrageous, should be heavily embarrassed if you booed. Saw a comment on Foxestalk last night “I wish we lost those games against Chelsea and Man City so that t*at can go”. Are you serious? If you want the team to lose fvck off and don’t come back. If youre booing when we are 8th after two fantastic wins you can also fvck off. We really are some of the most entitled bunch of fans in the country
NewquayFox Posted 30 December 2018 Posted 30 December 2018 I remember the boos all around me at the end of the Bournemouth game a couple of years ago, they were aimed at the totally inept Referee and one of his assistants who both had an awful 2nd half but folks on here turned it around and said it was against our players for not beating 10 men, I personally hate booing but I think they were aimed at Puel for taking Vardy off and not at Iheanacho...

Completely mental when you compare what they did for the club. Had similar behind me. The guy even asked, pre-game, if we loaned Bamba out to Cardiff. The guy behind me is an absolute arse, regardless of yesterday. Against Man City, he was on Maddison's back right from the start. Constantly on his back even though he was 1) the person that played the ball through to Vardy for Albrighton's goal and 2) passed the ball through to Vardy who shot but was excellently tackled by Laporte. In addition to that, he sometimes tracked back to help out the midfield. Not always but sometimes. This seemed to irk the fan behind me who thought Maddison should be some kind of box-to-box midfielder, as well as being the playmaker or creator all over the pitch . At one point, Aguero ran from half-way line to outside the box and took a shot which ultimately went over. Maddison tracked back more than any other midfielder yet the fan behind still had a go at him saying he should run back and should have got a tackle in. In the end it got too much for me so had to say something and say to him not everything that goes wrong is Maddison's fault, lay the fvck off him cos it's fvcking annoying. Yesterday he booed the Vardy/Iheanacho sub. Even his mate next to him asked him why he's booing. The fan behind me didn't have an answer ready and just shrugged . Absolute bellend, for sure.

It's incredible some of the ridiculous things you hear our fans say. A fan behind me once vehemently insisted that there should be 4 linesmen, two in each half with one on either side. Like that wouldn't create utter farce and chaos when one of them flags for offside and the one on the other side doesn't.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 30 December 2018 Posted 30 December 2018 I've only booed us once and that's when we got twatted at the city ground

We might sit next to each other I've heard some quotes in my time, even when we were top of the league in 15/16 we had a comment from a bloke near asking why we had let Waghorn go, it's mental.
Dan Posted 30 December 2018 Posted 30 December 2018 Our fans are dire to be honest. Atmosphere is awful more often then not. Just a typical modern day Premier League fanbase.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 30 December 2018 Posted 30 December 2018 Booing Nacho when he came on was a new low.
Bert Posted 30 December 2018 Posted 30 December 2018 Only ever boo referees. Can’t stand booing players managers etc.
Foxxed Posted 30 December 2018 Posted 30 December 2018 I can understand the frustration. But they expect the booing to improve the performances? "Oh, they're booing. I'll put more effort in then."

Posted in another thread that was my first visit to the KP yesterday and was disappointed at the level of vocal support for the team and the booing at the substitution. Players are human and will respond to positivity.

Haha where do you sit? Before that Man City game he had a lot of like-minded people who had similar thoughts to him regarding Puel. Obviously he was quiet as a mouse about Puel when we were playing well against Man City. But when I turned around and said what I said, not one person around him said anything back

Don't believe it was aimed at him but the decision. Vardy had a poor game but at that point was actually looking reasonable, needed help The silence that greeted Ghezzal was more noticeable Substitutions were very poor and would never change a game positively. These guys don't pick themselves.

Whether they were booing the team, the manager, Iheancho or whatever it was, totally unacceptable!
David Hankey Posted 30 December 2018 Posted 30 December 2018 You can be critical without booing but the uneducated know no better.

I don’t actually think we’ve been on the end of many bad refereeing performances this season apart from Arsenal away (Kavanagh) and Pawson (every time he refs us). The inconsistency is beyond laughable. Prime example Hojbjerg and Kompany today. Both almost identical challenges. One red and one yellow. I’ll let those who haven’t seen it decide which team was on the end of the red.
melrose Posted 30 December 2018 Posted 30 December 2018 I don't agree with the booing but we still have the best fans in the league

fleckneymike Posted 30 December 2018 Posted 30 December 2018 If you want to boo then boo, boo, and boo some more. If lots of other people boo at the same time then maybe you’re right; if they don’t then maybe you’re wrong - but goodness me what a dull world it would be if you can’t dish out a jolly good booing on occasion.

Just frustrating that any so called “fan” does that, like you said we are 8th in the prem!
