Because I disagree with people talking about Iranian Brighton players who have never played for and never played against Leicester City in the main Leicester forum? Just a waste of my time clicking on the link.

Medically it's not always a good idea to ignore everything that annoys you.

On an internet forum concerning a subject you are not interested in, id advise the opposite...

Matey it's a non-relvant, boring thread and your knitpicking isn't making some clever abstract point. It's keeping it up longer than it deserves and boring even more people.

Therefore this will my last post in it. I'm off to enjoy one of the relevant threads celebrating our young vibrant team taking it to one of the best sides in Europe on their own patch! Up The city!

I was thinking this the other day. Quick google says 10 appearances this season, with 0 goals and 0 assists.

I for one, was keen for us to get this deal over the line and felt we missed out at the time.

"Iranian Brighton players"

That's quite a niche dislike. I share your frustration though - if I saw post on here about Danish Swindon players I'd hit the bloody roof.

I'm not being facetious. If I was I'd say something sarcastic like 'at least you didn't waste more of your time with replies about wasting your time. But that would make me a nob

Disclaimer: I'm a nob

We should better talk about coaches who will never join us.

Is it knitpicking or nitpicking, I’m never quite sure?

It’s not as if it was a misleading thread title yet you still clicked on it? What were you expecting to see judging on title? A Puel out discussion?

But will you be able to resist responding to people's replies :claude:

That’s if we were even in for him. Probably used by his agent to push the deal through.

I dont think we can talk on this one when our plan B of Ghezzal has been such a qualified success

All that’s being said is that we’ve dodged a bullet on someone we were heavily linked with.

Excellent post Babs! Was just about to talk about something similar. If you compare the winger / forwards signed by Premier league clubs in the summer then most of them have not worked out, including arguably Mahrez given Guardiola prefers Sane and Sterling.

That said the one that we missed out on was David Brooks of Bournemouth. A young British player (Welsh) who is technically gifted, creative and has an eye for goal. He'd have fit right into the type of play that Puel has got us playing. But it seems like he was Bournemouth's number one signing and they picked him up early in the window. He was essentially their version of James Maddison. But given he cost less than Ghezzal we have to mark him down as "one that got away."

The other guy we have to mention is West Ham's Felipe Anderson. Terrific signing I'm sure everyone will agree and has arguably justified his expensive transfer fee. But he did cost a LOT of money and given how badly our expensive signings have flopped in recent times, I understand why we didn't want to go all in on a player who was unproven in the Premier League.

At the end of the day every transfer is a risk. In fact I'd argue that for most clubs, most signings don't work out! It's just that when a signing does work out, it can massively change a club's trajectory and performances as we've seen very clearly with players like Huth, Albrighton, Cambiasso and Kante in recent seasons.

It seems like Tielemans is joining the club today "only" on loan, but to be honest that might be a good thing. It's so easy to waste money that a safety-first approach isn't the worst thing in the world.

Fairplay to Bournemouth on Brooks, he looked a talent at Sheff U but I thought they'd gone a bit early for him, he's really stepped up.

Yeah it's his baby face that probably put a lot of people off! He looks kind of gangly too and you might question if he had the physicality for the league. But everytime I see him play I am impressed by him, he's a quality player.
