Just sacked Neil Lennon I wonder whether he had lined the transfer up, anyway nice to see him get a bit of experience of senior football.

I thought Beaglehole was meant to be blocking all these moves

Glad for the lads, hope they come back fitter and better :)

They didn't sack him but he didn't resign either apparently.

Not really sure how that works but that's what they're saying.

Seems a very charismatic character and very pleased to have to opportunity to go out and play. Wish him all the best and hope he has a hugely positive experience up at Hibs.

Likewise Knight at Peterborough. A huge positive in this window has been placing some good youth talent in Elder, Diabate, Knight and Johnson out on loan. Be interesting to follow their progress.

Comes across well in that video on a personal level. Seems a calm, positive, thinking lad, self-confident without being too cocky.

Will be interesting to see how he gets on.

I thought it was strange after the pre-season, he wasn't even in any squads.

Probably because our recruitment team decided to sign 3 CB’s. It’s going to take a lot to get ahead of Soyuncu and Benkovic unfortunately.

Really hope Johnson and Knight perform on loan and give Puel something to think about in the summer.

The positive aspect of all this is if Harry moves this summer and with Wes reaching the end of his time here, we do not need to sign any replacement CB's as we have numerous young and pacey options to choose from:thumbup:.

Funny thing is he asked if they could stay so they could help win the cup. The players wanted to go out on loan and the club allowed it

They really out to get their plastic pitches sorted in Scotland if they want their league to grow. Celtic should pay to get them all grass, like Ajax did in the Netherlands.

To be fair, there are only 3 of them in the SPFL. There are far more in the lower leagues but many of which are teams from the Highlands and further north were maintaining a grass pitch is a nightmare.

Be interesting to see whether they use him as CB or RB

Sounds like Hibs brought him in to cover an injured CB.

Thought he was excellent in pre-season.  Shame he'll be missing out on the Bayern Munich game, having captained the U23s to the quarter finals.  Hopefully will gain some good experience and be challenging for a place in the first team next season.

Imo he's our worst option at CB, much better at RB would like to see him focus on that

He has the potential to fill the role that Amartey had been growing into until his injury, playing as a RB behind Ricardo, with the option to change shape to a back three by moving to CB mid-game and Ricardo dropping back to RWB.

Yes, my thoughts exactly

Based on performances he is. But imo there is probably a case to be made that he’s our most naturally talented CB.

Choudhury was pretty average this season for the u23s but because he is naturally talented, he has transitioned to the PL comfortably. Maybe Johnson is the same.
