If anyone is thinking of mailing Tiny Tom, I strongly advise using a disposable temporary email address.

Easy to arrange - just google it.

Not so easy to arrange an untraceable bank deposit though (as the emailaprisoner costs 40p per email).

The prison service are actually quite strict with post and read everything, straight up abuse (and even over the top support) wont get to him. The only stuff they dont open and read is solicitor communications. And I am talking from experience.

Anyway, I hope he comes out with a spice addiction.

No, I wouldn't, Wymes.

Half the people who would have attended have died themselves and most of my remaining friends & family live a long way away. So, I'd expect a very poor attendance! :D

Not exactly a morale booster for me, then. Cannot imagine it being a security-inducing, psychologically beneficial event for my teenage daughter, either....

Kinda annoying me how much oxygen the BBC is giving Anadkat for free over the decision to close that restaurant - this is the third such article they've written about what a hero he supposedly is for standing up to over-fishing and microplastics, as if that wasn't already a well-publicised issue when he opened his restaurant 2 years ago.

Now don't get me wrong - both are serious issues that we should be looking to tackle. But what the BBC are wilfully glossing over in their heaping of praise on this decision is that the bloke is a wheeler-dealer and has previous of using publicity stunts to drum up business - like painting the restaurant in Union Jack colours without council permission to pander to public sympathy and then playing the victim when asked to remove the mural to drum up more interest in the restaurant.

I will happily claim that he knows exactly what he's doing and doesn't give a flying fish about microplastics in the food chain. He's either incredibly ignorant to go into selling fish in this day and age without any prior knowledge of sustainable stock or marine pollution, or once again he's bending the truth to (successfully) gain free publicity, which the Beeb are being useful idiots in providing since it fits the corporation's agenda in the wake of Blue Planet 2.

The reality is pretty simple really - there's more cash to be made chasing trendy vegan students with loans to burn through than competing with the far cheaper chippy down the road, so he's changing his menu. It's cheaper to source the ingredients and you can still charge "right on" folks through the nose for it, giving far greater profit margins per unit sold - plus, of course, it opens up the vegetarian Hindu market which is significant in the city. This was a business, cash-driven decision.

You are Lobby Lud and I claim my £5.

Never heard of him

Does he work in porno ?

Yeah, very niche homoerotic S&M stuff, though, Mike.

Him and his crew like to dress up in Nazi regalia, get covered in milkshake and then beat one another up, I heard.

All very kinky and not the sort of stuff that we'd want to get involved in.
