If you assume that manufacturers wont need materials or components for their products that need to cross borders,

Mate, it’s an import tax. We don’t have to have any levies.

that manufacturers will happily want to shrink their own markets, that consumers will like having less choice, and will like to pay more for that priveledge, maybe.

Maybe, so what?

1 minute ago, Fox In The Box 90 said:

But weve already seen that isnt the case.

This also directly contradicts the people youve voted to agree with like Rees Mogg and the ERG no dealers who take their economic advice from Patrick Minford. Their whole argument was prices would come down when we dropped tariffs as we would be open to the whole world, and that the price to pay for this was our own farming and manufacturing industries would be destroyed.

I told my argument was different to theirs but you just assumed. No need to apologise.

But theres a perfect illustration.youre all brexiteers yet your viewpoints are a confused muddle of contradictions and youve all ended up on the same side of the argument not getting what you want.

Well you’ll have to debate us all individually rather than putting us all in the same pigeon holes then.

You are in the same pigeon hole though arent you. None of you are going to get what you want, and especially not your idea. Yet you all make up the barely over half of the UK that voted leave.

If 'Brexit' is a proper word, why wasn't 'Brenter' used when Heath took us in? Will 'Bremain' enter our vocabulary when the folk who hate referendums (when they lose them) finally defeat the democratic vote in favour of leaving?

I won’t get it by remaining either, I’ve got more chance of happening by voting leave. So there you go

You lot are getting a bit heated again and you'll end up having this thread closed ...   like last time !!...    but fear not ...   I will add some proper news stories to it and will thus calm the situation down.

This is a very interesting story and shows that despite what some of you may think about this particular broadsheet it has got a caring soul within its reporting and editorial staff ...   please note how the innocent animals have had their faces blanked out to protect their identities ...    thank yow !

Strokes is my favourite Brexiter.

@Strokes is getting far too many affectionate strokes. The only strokes he deserves are strokes of the birch, preferably administered by The Birch.

Drag him down to Leicester marketplace, yank down his trousers, get his fat, hairy arse on display - then give him 50 strokes of the best. It's the only language those Brexiteers understand!

It didn't do me any harm back in the good old days when I was fighting in the war.

Here's my favourite Brexiteer:

An evening? I'll have a whole night, please....can't stretch to a luxury kitchen, though!

Those luscious curves, those floaty locks, those dreamy eyes....shame about her Brexity views, though. Might have to repel her romantic overtures after all....

Don't get ahead of yourself, you're up against Dangerous Tiger so it's hardly a great victory.

Yeah but DT has actually seen a vagina real life, Stokes can only dream of that luxury.

I hope I never reach the age when I start fantasizing over old-guy crumpet like Penny Mordant or Carol Vorderman.

"I hope I die before I get old!" - Pete Townsend

What are the alternatives, Bovril?

- Premature death?

- Leching after young women (or men) when you're an old git (the Bill Wyman solution)?

- Celibacy?

- Impotence?

Get thee to a Balkan nunnery to admire the religious icons! :D

Bloody hell I'm already there in my mid thirties.

I was looking at Dolly Parton the other day thinking you still would, chuck in Blondie. Morgan Fairchild at 70 looks tremendous.
