Having a young physical striker who can hold up the ball and bully defenders and can finish would be a perfect option to rotate with Vardy. Still a fan of Che Adams myself, but this guy seems along the right lines of who to be looking at. No idea about the Turkish player. Fenerbache have had a dreadful season so am not convinced a young player in that team is all that.

ALC Fox Posted 6 March 2019 Posted 6 March 2019 Although they're different types of striker, he kind of reminds me of when when we were first linked with Vardy. There's raw talent in abundance there, but he's a controversial character, gets under the skin of opposing players and fans, is a bit of a sh!thouse, etc. There is also a question mark over whether he can transfer his skill set to a higher quality league and whether his volatility will hinder his progression. £20m is steep though...very steep. That's the one difference between Morelos and Vardy that has me questioning the move should it come to pass. £1m was steep for Vardy as a non-league player, but we already had good options in his position at the time and could afford to give Vardy a while to settle. With Morelos, we're not quite in the same position as realistically there would only be Vardy in front of him. But, with their similarities, having Vardy around at the same time could be brilliant for helping Morelos settle and channel that aggression into bullying and winding up defenders without getting setting off (although we all know Vards can still lose it from time to time). If he can transfer his form from Scotland to the Premier League, he'll be one hell of a signing. With Dortmund and other German clubs being interested, it's clear he has some talent.

ozleicester Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 I know nothing of the player.. and almost nothing of the SPL, but im pretty sure they are very good at chopping bits out of players up there, so his aggression and reactions might differ in a less violent league?

But his contract means **** all other than he gets more money til the end of the season probably in exchange for a slightly highly release fee that he thinks he's worth. Regardless of where he ends up, he's obviously not staying there for four years and probably would like to move in the summer.
