Favourite Vardy goal?

The two he scored up at Sunderland the year we won the league

For me it was the second one he scored to secure the three points. I got really emotional after that goal and started to cry a bit, lip trembling and all that (if I'm being honest) as the REALITY of the situation really hit home.  That's never happened to me before or since. (OK maybe the night we actually secured the title. )   I'm a soft git!  :D

Any of his goals at the Hawthorns are in with a shout. Some great memories there but his goal there during great escape has to come out on top. What a moment.

I'd have to say my favorite Vardy performance would be at home against Sevilla too. Didn't score, actually missed a couple of sitters, but he was a fvcking animal that evening. Absolute machine

For me it’s has to be the record breaker against Man Utd. To be in the stadium for that moment was just incredible. And to watch it back on the TV to see his brilliant celebration to the away fans and accompanied by the “it’s eleven it’s heaven” commentary is chilling still to this day. From my angle it looked like it was going wide off a touch from De Gea’s boot because of the weird way the shot swerved but it was actually an excellent finish. Incredible no look pass from Fuchs too at the end of a typical Leicester counter attack. All the build up beforehand was will he or won’t he do it so to see him take his only chance of the game was brilliant. The fact it was against Man Utd who were singing the record holder van Nistelrooy’s name all game until it happened made it even sweeter and it couldn’t have been scripted any better. It finalised his arrival as a top player for me and it made his rise from non league even better. I think those 11 games where Vardy was going for the record don’t get enough recognition for taking the attention and pressure off the team for maintaining some table topping form early in the season and Vardy did well to take it all in his stride and not make it all about himself.

The Liverpool volley is a close second though.

Totally agree with this. Nothing else comes close for me.

Has to be that volley against Liverpool.

That 11th goal in a row actually started to make me believe we could win the league that year though. Close 2nd.

After the final whistle on Saturday, Mr Vardy was asked "what was your favourite goal of the 100" and he answered with Liverpool and wba away. Which got me thinking, my immediate thought was the spurs game.

Albrighton chips a ball into Vardy who runs onto it perfectly and deftly lobs lloris on the volley..

???t then again there's been so many, also brilliant play from the team and the Great man finishes.

Let's make a book for Jamie, what's your favourite goal...

Got to be Newcastle away in our premier league title season to equal the record

I was in an 'English pub' in New York (put the honeymoon on pause) for the United 5-3 when he stuck in the 5th, that was special

Also the Liverpool volley

Got be the goal away at Newcastle when we won the Premier league to equal goal record. The way he stood there afterwards arm's out wide and players jumping on his back.

So many great goals. Newcastle away in the title season was great to see live.

One that sticks out for me is the goal against Villa. It wasn’t technically great but there was nobody beating him to that ball. Determination got that goal. It wiped the smile from Sherwoods face and summed up the fighting spirit that we needed that season to stay up.

Hate to correct you, but that was early on in the season we won the league...

I’m surprised nobody had mentioned his goal against Wales at the Euros. 1-0 down to our British rivals and facing being humiliated and tormented by Welsh supporters after the game but just when England needed a hero who else but Vardy to come on at half time and score almost straight away! It was also the first time in my lifetime that a Leicester player scored a major tournament goal and even better it was for England

I also enjoyed his winner at Chelsea this season

This thread just sums up what a top quality player he is

The Liverpool half volley and the two against West Brom already mentioned on here are definitely in my top 5

the other two I like is the 1st against Arsenal at home in the prem winning season long ball played to him he controls with his head and then puts it in the net from a silly tight angle

the 2nd is against Crystal Palace in the same season Mahrez plays him in and he does a little clip over the outrushing keeper then blasts it into the net

So many great goals. I have been watching LCFC since aged 7 l went to watch Plymouth Argyle in October 1952 (2-0 to City). What was the best ever performance by a City player in the time since then? It has to be JV's astonishing  display in 2014-15 in the 5-3 demolition of Manchester United, so i'll nominate his goal in that game. It wasn't perhaps his greatest goal but it put the finishing touch to a towering performance.

The Liverpool goal will long live in memory.

However, the goal he scored against Boro in our promotion season was really significant. He struggled up and until then. That goal must’ve done his confidence the world of good.

You know what, I wasn’t too sure myself but always thought it was the season before. It’s been a blur with so many great results.

Obviously the goals against United, Liverpool and West Brom will rank amongst the best, but I actually feel it was a fitting way to bring up 100 on Saturday.

The through ball from Maddison, straight into the path of Vardy smashing it into the corner to effectively win the game. what a brilliant player

Another one people seemed to have forgotten!

His equalizer to make it 2-2 from 2-0 down against Villa. May not be the greatest goal but the place was going mad when that went in! Sherwood was shellshocked how we won that game lol
