Ever Bought a Lemon?

By this I mean a thing, gadget, car, tech or anything you've bought that turned out to be rubbish or way below what you had anticipated or expected and has left you feeling bitter and disappointed.

2017-18  season tickets are excluded.

I bought a £400 drone once. Nothing particularly wrong with it, but i just lost interest after the first couple of go's.

I've considered drone flying as a hobby but having considered the scope for excitement and fulfilment, I decided against.

Was hoping for answers on whether people had actually ever bought lemons or not.

 

For me, I've bought bottled lemon juice, but never a lemon.

I went through a phase of buying loads of gadgets and things off Groupon thinking I'd got a bargain.

 

Most of it was total shite that I didn't really need, so I unsubscribed to avoid any further temptation.

Not necessarily bought, but felt that reading/using Facebook seemed like an anti-climax at times in the past and don't miss using it.

 

People stating what they've had for dinner, how slim they look/how much they've lost via numerous pictures, posting about what level they are in a game they've just played, random comments such as "can't sleep, pray for me"/""Urggh, feel so poorly today, please message anyone ;-( "/"Found £20 under the sofa. #Winning #Lucky Day" etc...

Went on it when it started someone invited me to help them feed cherries to pigs in a farm yard and I thought wtf is this crap. Never went on it again.

A Chevrolet Lacetti AKA the Top Gear "Reasonably Priced Car". Even had it in the same Cerulean Blue paint job.

 

It was absolute shite and the engine packed up within a year.

Literally tried to buy a lemon in Tesco tonight. Went to the self service and it wouldn’t let me enter it so I said it was a pepper but that was double the price, I call the employee over to sort it out, Who for no logical reason whatsoever, decided to start hitting my lemon ?.

I have bought 4 lemon trees in the past - not had a single fruit grow so I suppose you could say I’ve bought a lemon but never received one.

I had one, got 1 lemon off it and loads more were growing (which my dog ate) and then it dropped dead.

You two have just destroyed 2 thirds of my car owning history!

 

for  the record, im currently on my 3rd Astra. Its outlasted every other car I've ever owned and i love it to bits. The previous 2 astras were awful though (although i did crash and write off the first after owning it for just 3 days

I had two Astras, both of which were 3 years old when I bought them, the first of which literally never had a problem apart from me reversing it into a handrail at Freemans Common tip
