StanSP Posted 3 August 2019 Author Posted 3 August 2019 Australia loving this now. 4 wickets in the session already for only 40 odd runs. You'd hope Ali would take some encouragement from the spin Lyon was producing but even so, England would be disappointed not to capitalise on a strong showing yesterday.
ScouseFox Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 we’ve managed to batter them for like 95% of this so far but we’re gonna end up with a first innings lead of about 40 and be batting last and probably lose. decent.

Bobby Hundreds Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Games gone, pitch so slow we couldn’t chase 170 on this.
Guest Manini Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 I’m sure he knows it, but Broad is going to get peppered here.
purpleronnie Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 we're ok the aussies made another 160 with their final 2.

This is why we have to learn to be ruthless, we let a winning position turn into a potential losing one...can't afford to be nice...especially against the Aussies.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Anderson needs to bowl even if his legs fall off. I doubt he’ll be fit again this summer, just go for it.
martyn Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Predictably Moeen getting the stick. His batting has been poor for a while, but his bowling over the last year or 2 still justifies his place Bairstow on the other hand....
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Just got home from work and seen the score that’s some collapse, felt certain we’d get 400, still might though.

Apparently Keaton Jennings has a better average in Test matches in the last 12 months than Bairstow!

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Frustrate em, the lead is building.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Woakes and Broad nudging and nurdling. Lead of 67. Let's hope our late order can eke out a few more. Batting last might be tricky.

UniFox21 Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Loving this crowd, properly having Smith and Warner here
Bobby Hundreds Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Woakes was shocking with the bat in the WC, different player in tests.
UniFox21 Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Thick question here; how do they get the RPS from the spin bowlers?
StanSP Posted 3 August 2019 Author Posted 3 August 2019 Broad goes from a short ball, predictably but he'd done well to tick over to 29 and extend the lead.
UniFox21 Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Anderson does not look comfortable in the slightest
